Kakashi derNoah Honestly I think he plays himself waaay down in LP to keep the songs radio friendly... I feel like this song is him seeing those comments online saying "Brad fucking sucks lol can't shred" and was like "orly".
+OldManJeinkinz those solos are easy as fuck as well (I play guitar and can play them) but they sound nice. Brad isn't a guitarist that shows off he makes his riffs and solos go along with the rest of the band.... and that is way better imo
IMO Brad is an amazing guitarist, but not for the same reasons i think someone like Slash is an amazing guitarist. Brad can seamlessly fit his guitar work into the flow of the songs, it makes the songs feel unique even though the riffs arent amazingly complex. One of my favorite examples of this is Hit the Floor...its the easiest fucking song to play on this planet yet it goes so damn well with what the rest of the band is doing and it sounds amazing because of the effects he uses. At the end of the day hes more of a craftsman - trying to make everything fit INSTEAD of making it stand out with the exception of a bulk of the hunting party and this song where he tries something different yet still keeping his roots in the form of simple, yet effective, riffs and in this case solos.
4 Years ago but still a perfect comment. A lot of guitarists try to make things about themselves in their solo and show how good they are. Brad designs his solo entirely around the song rather than his ego, that's why it's so brilliant.
The way chester feel the lyrics is haunting and send chills to the spine..this man was lonely from the inside so he given up..R I P Chezy chaz..miss you forever

Linkin Park Lyrics - In Pieces - Lyrics [Verse 1: Chester Bennington] Telling me to go But hands beg me to stay Your lips say that you love Your eyes say that you hate [Bridge: Chester Bennington] There's truth in your lies Doubt in your faith What you build you lay to waste There's truth in your lies Doubt in your faith All I've got's what you didn't take [Hook: Chester Bennington] So I, I won't be the one Be the one to leave this In pieces And you, you will be alone Alone with all your secrets And regrets, don't lie [Verse 2: Chester Bennington] You promised me the sky Then tossed me like a stone You wrap me in your arms Then chill me to the bone [Bridge: Chester Bennington] [Hook: Chester Bennington] [x2]
I love the way he sings" so i wont b the one b the one to leave this in pieces an u you will b alone , alone with all your scerets and regrets dont lie" the way he voice goes from soft to kinda hard is amazing it goes to show how much chester can sing ans how he talented he said that crawling an giving up was very hard to sing live.
you guys gotta remember, chester sings constantly over and over under beating-hot stage lights and a sreaming croud. They all get exausted, they sweat, they are hot, there ears probably are irritated from the croud. This was a later song in this concert, so they get tired. Him "shacking" his voice might be easier to get the note on key correctly
Agreed. Also switching between his harsher timbre for Faint, Given Up, Bleed It Out etc to the smoother timbre for this must be tough. But still, he doesn't sing this well at all. Should have this earlier in the set. Least the solo was good though
Usually all their shows are long (more than 1 hour) with continuous singing. That causes the vocal cords to tire, and that why you see cracking of the vocals (pretty rare in their shows). imo, that's the reason why they usually start with energetic songs first, you would usually see songs like Faint, Given Up etc in the beginning of the show. I admire Chester for the same reason, no matter a broken wrist or tireness, he still sings marvelously ! :)
3:07 ele colocando o fone novamente porque a barulheira realmente tira a gente do norte mesmo a gente tendo noção da escala, isso se chama profissionalismo!!
Someone was said "I love you and I don't want to lose you" until all the game that she played and tried to fools me but, my eyes seen it all from the start so I distances myself from her lies. I can related and understood these song. I grew up with L.P since I was 12. Now I loved this song and it was so damn strong listening to this song of every words of the lyrics that I read from "Pieces".
I've always liked that they constantly change the sound of their songs, especially in live performances. like they're continuing to perfect the songs. I've always felt like the part of this song where Chester is singing, "So I, I won't be the one Be the one to leave this in pieces And you, you will be alone Alone with all your secrets and regrets, don't lie", should have a choir sound over the "In pieces" part and the "secrets and regrets" part as well. not to loud but just able to hear it behind Chester's voice.
Telling me to go But hands beg me to stay Your lips say that you love Your eyes say that you hate There's truth in your lies Doubt in your faith What you build you lay to waste There's truth in your lies Doubt in your faith All I've got's what you didn't take So I, I won't be the one Be the one to leave this In pieces And you, you will be alone Alone with all your secrets And regrets Don't lie You promise me the sky Then toss me like a stone You wrap me in your arms And chill me to the bone There's truth in your lies Doubt in your faith All I've got's what you didn't take So I, I won't be the one Be the one to leave this In pieces And you, you will be alone Alone with all your secrets And regrets Don't lie So I, I won't be the one Be the one to leave this In pieces And you, you will be alone Alone with all your secrets And regrets Don't lie
