the relation between them is certainly so deep, when Chester tell his story and Mike laugh with his eyes closed. I am still wondering why and how much pain he endured, i mean look at this interview Chester is so positive especially in 2017 to be compared with his 2015.

I'm not angry at Chester. I'm angry at addiction and depression. Those are what took him.

Such spirit n heart can't be gone till we remember him, talk about him, sing with him, caring about his family, loved ones and each other, how cheesy it wouldn't be sound . Once I had dream with Chester during my lowest n fck horribly crazy times. N I still remember how he told me there , to not ever think to give up. Don't ! This is what I try to remind myself over again. ♥Anyways, Hope you are doing well!

Muwaahib that's true, he w getting better actually.. although Chris s passing had a huge influence and core effect on him.. he s changed in behavior, in way of talking(thinking) and performing..I noticed then too..smth was so out during shows.. but still I feel that wasn't the only one reason.. Anyways, I do feel a little better at times, but after it hits you over n over again. It's not a linear mechanism of getting through n grief.. no chronological order of those stages, as Mike said.. I'm back to denial again n it hurts. Hope you are doing better! Feel hugged♥🤗

depression happened

One of his closest friends passed away by suicide. Chester was only 6 months sober out of rehab when he passed away, they found beer, not much beer, but still, for an alcoholic it isn't good. He felt shame and he was alone, that's even worse.

I regret not being a little more rebellious and going out to see them wayyy earlier. My parents never let me go to concerts when I was a teen, and I had so many opportunities to see this beast of a man scream his lungs out on stage. Now that opportunity is gone

yeah me too, i kinda missed it bc school was really stressful and the concert would've been literally at the other side of my country (like 6 to 8 hours drive) and now it's too late....

Right.. weird thing is for me personally before that.. 2015 was the biggest hell as well. I got to hospital and afterwards my life s been changed, that was a break point. Same as for Chester. But he made it, we all made it ♥ n in May 2017 - Chris, again those struggles n sufferings waken up for Chester.. and in my personal life , except feelings for Chris, the May was a start of the sht that brought me back to 2015 .. n on ,20th july , before I knew. I somehow woke up as an empty place n felt extremely saddened for nd without any reasons.. that's all strange n crazy for me still. Anyways, deeply Hope, you are doing well , lp family🙏♥

Zrayel listen to it again... you cant brand linkin parks style with 2 out of the 7 albums theyve made. Especially them, because theyre a band that doesnt necessarily want to be tied to a single genre alone. a lot of their songs in one more light are very relatable to almost anyone. Lyrical content is absolutely amazing as well. I would implore you to give it another listen

I miss the techno/dj vibe of the other albums and the first 2 albums are still the best they've made so far IMO. Hunting party wasn't bad but a bit too much of the same guitar sound. I'll buy the album even if I don't like it and pray that the next one is more in line with the style they made in the past. Or at the very least, a little bit of everything (some rap, some not, some screaming, some DJ'ish, some more techno sounding). This album sounds too pop and not enough alternative? It reminds me of Our Lady Peace where the last 2-3 albums were a big disappointment for me. LP can't please everyone of course and I don't really care as long as they create what they want/love and not what people tell them to create. It's possible that the reason is the way they created the songs this time around compared to how they used to do it. I'm not much of a lyric person when it comes to music so better/good lyrics doesn't do much for me if the "music" isn't there. They used to focus on the music then add lyrics. This album is about lyrics with music added to them... EDIT: I they plan to do lyrics first and music 2nd for the next album, it would be nice if they included some songs made with music first and lyrics second to mix it up some. ;-)

Zrayel understandable. everybody has different taste. i dont like how people call them sellouts tho, because if they wanted to follow the money, theyd make more albums comparable to their best sellers, yet they dont, and they still give a majority to charity and relief societies. songs in OML are those that you kinda have to listen to over and over again a couple times to get the message and feel the catch.

I get what you're saying Zrayel because everyone has different taste in music. Hybrid Theory and Meteora are two of my favorite albums of LP. And still whenever I hear someone say Linkin Park, I think of that alternative rock, metal, rap sound of those two albums^^.....but.... I give mad probs to LP for making music they love....and not giving two craps about ''gernes''. I personally loved OML because I love the messages in each song and One More Light and Heavy are the ones who are the most haunting to me. It decribes Chester's thought so well for us fans to understand and those who listen to it. And we could hear Chester's beautiful voice, without the screaming/growls (eventho I love hearing that
