Today I know more than 50 rock band! But Linkin Park was my first band! This band inspired me to go into rock genre and look for artistic music. So Linkin Park was my first step.
I just broke down hearing "Is this..the last light" & then hearing Ches say while laughing "Yeah we're giving up guys"..sure it was meant to be a joke, but it really was the last light for him..
@@cordeliachase601 There's nothing fishy. This is how depression works. I just lost one of my best friends to it last week. We we're at a Frank Carter concert at the end of the last year and he was full of energy and positive about how Corona is slowly fading and everything's going back to normal. We made a lot of plans for this year. Well last week he committed suicide. If you knew him, you just couldn't tell...
@@cordeliachase601 He did such progress + he was happy at such momements, for sure. It's just some intrusive thoughts can come out of nowhere + mou...ing (this sadness after close person's death) could hit him. It was for sure spontanious, not very deliberate? thoughtful? Yeah he was thinking but you know what I mean. Sometimes we say/do something being under our strong emotions, that we regret later but if it is at that moment what we believe and sound resonable - logical or whatever to us... we do not have any brakes... I've recently had a huge quarrel where I really went beyond the mark, although I was saying truthful things, resonable... it was unnecessary to do it this way. However it wasn't that I wasn't contolling myself, I choose not to , I thought it is necessary and appropriate at that moment. It wasn't ... but yeah under emotions even if you didn't lost your logical thinking, you're still apmed-up and it doesn't work well sometimes. So although I didn't want to control it... I could have at least calm down for a while and planned it (it would be even more substantive and less chaotic) and even if you don't want to control screaming/shouting it doesn't mean you cannot try to control your intrusive thoughts at that moment... how many times some are irrelevant and we exaggerate? So yeah, it could have occured some TRIGGER there + other already existing factors which have impact on emotions + depression in the background and here we go...
08:56 the way this dude look to Chester when he's talking about one more light being their last album, gave me chills. Is almost like he knew the nightmare that was coming.
8:57 Saw this video just two days ago...had a weird feeling about how this can be their last album...just standing there trying to imagine myself without new Lp songs...well...guess you nailed it! "who cares if one more light goes out?" We all do Chester...
eddy z The horrible thing is that not all of us do. I've read so many mean comments saying it was a good thing he killed himself and then Instagram posts making fun of it and it's really sad.
Oneacis I've seen so many comments on RU-vid about how he was a cowardly selfish bitch for committing suicide, but those people don't have a lick of understanding about how devastating it can be when your brain doesn't function the way it should. In my eyes they are just a bunch of sad judgmental people who don't hold any merit and honestly, I don't really think anybody should care about their opinion.
It may not be necessarily over. With Chester, yes, nothing can bring him back :( But there may be a possibility that LP can make something new if they get a good enough singer to at least do some justice to all the songs. Knowing Mike, he won't wanna stop making music. Also the other members individually have been joining Mike on stage. Idk maybe LP doesn't come back but they are together unlike Queen during the time of Freddie's death. The five of them are still very much together and in touch.
Hey, I really hope you are doing well. And I also hope you listened to the new Linkin Park song, ' Lost'. I am just lost of all words to explain how it feels. Hoping to hear more.
When the host said that the title of the album had a finality feeling to the band I stared crying of thinking that, after so many years, LP wouldn't do music anymore x'c hopefully they will x3 6 friends that can change the day of a person, Love you always LP
Não faz mal... Não é por estar triste com o que aconteceu que não possa falar de outras coisas, a vida continua... Mas sim, eu via-te nas lives, não estás no discord dele?
People have so many misconceptions about depression it's kind of upsetting. You can put up a front first of all - it's what I and many others do. It gets easy after a while to pretend to be happy. But also being depressed doesn't meant you can't have happy moments, it's just that they're rare. You can have a few days where you feel good but usually you drop, and then that feeling goes away.
R.I.P Chester, we love you and miss you dearly. Your music touched all of us, been a fan since I was in elementary/middle school. Still can't believe you're gone, rest easy. "Who cares if one more light goes out?" We all do, Chester, we all do #RIP 🙏🏾🙌🏾❤️
this was literally the last interview I watched, literally started to listen to Linkin Park again when this interview came out now Chester is gone, so fucked man
Last light- was last Chester... I will miss Chester he was all ways my fav lead singer next to yellowcard. But i hop that Chester lives in peace, he did a giant impact on our earth to kids and adults, changing peoples lifes. He took his life to his friend Chris, which all so died. I hop Chester and Chris are in a better place now
Thank you for a great interview. I love their new album, specially the song "one more light", the meaning is beautiful and made so much sense when they dedicated it to Chris Cornell.
MarkyPOP! If they do continue, I agree that they should make a song dedicated to Chester. That would be the most beautiful song in the existence of ever. ❤
If they continue they should do it under a different name. Leave Linkin Park as a way to remember chester. Because without Chester no matter who the lead singer is,it will just never be the same...my opinion anyways
This interview is so surreal 😢. .how they are asked about the title of this album, ..it's just mind blowing. He must reflect back to the question he asked all the time in this interview. 😢..Rip Chester, you were a Beacon of Light.😔🌅❤💔
Remeliss kinda puts me in the mind of Michael Jackson when he said “this is it” when it really WAS it. It makes me wanna cry tbh. I hope linkin Park keeps going though
God.. I’ve come back to this a lot since 17’, and his question of, ‘The title carries finality: One More Light. Are they trying to tell us something?” And the answer would become stranger than fiction… we all love and miss you 🙌🏼❤️🩹
9:07 My emotional capacity was not prepared for this exchange. Wow. Just makes their last album so much more impacting. Excuse me while I go cry in a corner.
Find yourself bandmates that'll talk you up the way these guys did for each other. In every interview they're psyched about how talented their bandmates are. Goals.
Great interview. Was surprised how the interviewer Rob called it and sensed something bad afoot. Probably dismissed it like we all did and had no idea how bad it was gonna be.
But the answer was yes, this is the last album, at least with Chester 😭 But I really hope they do not put a replacement, Chester was unique and irreplaceable and I really want them to respect that and keep their memory.
When Rob has a scary question about the title of the album and pauses while looking at Chester is so sad. His concern that the title may imply the end of the band is chilling now that Chester is gone
Like damn. Chester was really well spoken and really intelligent. Its so sad that he is gone. Shit, that's hard to believe. I mean he had wayyy too much to offer to the world. I guess he really was trapped inside his own thoughts :/
