We were truly blessed to live in the same generation as Chester and Linkin Park. Honestly, I truly believe this band's music will bless future centuries with the same strength.

The 90s resonates as a tough time for young adults. Reading comments across all platforms, from thousands of (mostly young) people, LP - and esp Chester - saved aLOT of them thru the music, lyrics and their connection with audiences and fans worldwide. Typically kids experiencing everything from abuse to depression to addiction and neglect, you name it, hell, it's hard enough just growing up -- So many0 comments express gratitude for having been saved by the music and the band, and in particular there's a lot mentioning Chester's connection on a one to one level, a look, a hand, a hug, a word, whatever, they credit that connection with having gotten them thru the pain and uncertainty of their lives at a time when it wasn't forthcoming from other sources. That's a lot of young lives that might have ended too soon. Of course other bands had similar influence at the time, and their comment threads reflect lots thanks too. But Chester made a unique connection with people He wanted to help, and he knew wherefore he spoke. It's just such heartbreak that he couldn't save himself.

There's a 17 year age gap between me and my brother (I'm the younger sibling). He was born the same year as Chester. my brother is very happy, doesn't suffer from mental illness, and is looking forward to many more years on this earth. It's crazy to think how they would be the same age now, but poor Chester didn't feel the same about his outlook on his life. RIP Chester, hope you're in peace now

I feel the most intense emptiness watching these performances, knowing ill never get to watch him live. He put everything into every moment on stage. Im heartbroken and i miss him so much.
