At first, when I saw the thumbnail and title, I was like mehh...But after listening, it totally fits. And I'm not going to lie, I like it. Ariana exploring with rock genre wouldn't be bad if she does it right. Not screamo rock, but a style like this wouldn't be bad for her style of voice.
Genuinely ever since after hearing Ariana's voice for the first time I have wished that she drifted into rock and maybe even into progressive rock. It would be so amazing.

I Used to be the same way only listened to one kind of music and was very close Minded towards other genres and people just for being the opposite. Same key and same beat pattern. If u hear it right, u can make a "pop" song like Into You which is just kick and clash with Numb cuz it's a 4 by 4 song

Rick James ariana is a known linkin park fan, she also loves evanescence and other alternative/rock groups. and some alternative/rock groups love her. she's never wanted to be a run-of-the-mill popstar with lyrics with no depth which is why she moved her own music genre to r&b and wrote real af songs about her struggles (since she's had more creative freedom. her new album is the last thing from pop or generic, it's her most experimental critically acclaimed album) and she's even been apart of rock covers. put some respect on that girl's name, pls. she's gone through hell and she's covered every genre and nailed it. ariana grande isn't another generic pop girl and to even shit on numb, a very influential song, to say it was generic as well is just... i can't
forevergirl It’s musically generic. Lyrics don’t define if something is instrumentally generic or not. Numb is a pop song by Linkin Park. It follows the pop formula to a T. It’s not hard rock or anything. And yeah, LP has hard rock songs but Numb, In the End, Somewhere I Belong, etc., are pop songs.

when LP was making HT, meteora they first made instrumental track and then they added lyrics to it ...so most lyrics can legit fit into those intrumentals, then they changed it during MtM
We saw on Jimmy Fallon that Ariana can do Amy Lee from Evanescence’s voice, she should seriously do a rock project. It would be AMAZING. This is so good.
This is a total masterpiece. The two songs fit so perfectly together that if you never heard the original versions before, you'd easily think it's a completely original song. It sounds just like Evanescence and Lacuna Coil were mixed together.

Those actual rock versions of Into You are metals... but this with alternative rock is a precious gem found! The mood at the verses is what I've been looking for, and the chorus hits harder than ever! Even the bridge!
I realized one thing that Chester created a universal musical combiner and called it Numb, specifically in order to fit all songs of different genres, styles and directions! He was the first to use this combiner to demonstrate how to use it and the DJ's got it right off the bat!

Dumb music execs will say “rock is in a bad place right now” in order to not risk a popular artist in that genre, rather than saying “Ariana Grande could breathe new life into a genre that’s floundering”. I need more of this, damn it!!!
Linkin park is one of my all time fav bands they are close to perfect for me... No they are perfect as is.. But why cant i stop singing and jamming to this... Its the best thing after sliced bread. Love it well done.
Okay, this is awesome and showcases one of the things I have always loved about Ariana Grande's voice: she melds so well to whatever is put before her that it's scary. It doesn't matter what sort of sound is offered to her, she melds phenomenally and makes it hers in ways that are utterly astounding. I really enjoyed this!
I clicked on it, preparing to slag it. But just like McDonald's. I'm lovin' it. The mesh of Ari's vocal over LP's backing is a match made in heaven (or on a meteor; take your pick). Her melodies and arrangements FIT the track down to the last distorted guitar chord. Chilling, but apt. Makes me wonder what LP would sound like with Ari in place of Chester. Gothic pop/rap/rock, anyone?
I like this better than either of the original songs. It makes "Into You" a prettier, seemingly more meaningful song. Interesting. I never thought of Linkin Park as industrial, but I would call this mash-up industrial pop. That could be an interesting new genre of music.

@@Koujoung She cares about what people think about her a lot more than she should or beyond what is healthy. I get the strange feeling (and have for a couple years now) that inside, behind Ariana's eyes there is a sadness and darkness, I think she's lonely and deeply so. In a lot of her videos and pictures she is smiling but her eyes are saying something else. When the music stops, when the friends aren't there and there's no one to talk to, how does she truly feel? To be honest I feel sorry for her, I know she recently took some time off for mental health after her break up and when her ex committed suicide but I still see in her eyes a pain like she is screaming for someone in whom she can confide and actually express her fears, dreams and hopes. Even taking time off doesn't make the obligations and stress of an incessantly busy schedule disappear and it is like she never truly gets respite from the chaos. Also, the industry will do everything it can to sexualize her image and music and they've already begun to succeed. Ariana always set herself apart from the others by not going down that path and for that she had the respect and admiration of so many young girls. I know she is very intelligent despite what her critics and jealous reporters have to say about her but the industry is full of wicked, manipulative people who will exploit well meaning, smart, ambitious, good girls at all cost to turn a dollar. I really hope, for Ariana's sake, that she finds joy first within herself and getting to know herself and lay off the relationship hopping for a while, maybe a couple years. I feel like she might feel that she always needs to have someone there to validate her and that truly breaks my heart for her, I get the feeling that when the music dies, and the friends have gone home and the party stops, and the profound silence envelopes her and she's left alone with her own thoughts that she feels like no one really truly understands her. Outwardly she is THE Ariana Grande, formidable and indomitable pop star, unstoppable, living every girl's dream life, but inside I get the distinct feeling she feels alone, lost, and scared and struggles with her insecurities. I know that most likely seems outlandish to you but being a student of human emotion and behavior I see what others do not see because most people are satisfied with a "I'm fine, doing great" and only notice the surface out of selfishness and genuine disinterest in other human beings and deeply connected, meaningful relationships, whether friendship, romantic interest, or familial relationships.

You're exactly right its always been a sadness and a disconnect with her and her music I felt like for a while it wasn't truly showing Ariana grande as ariana grande. I think now she expresses herself way more within her music but its still something deep and dark that can be released into music with lyrical content something sad/angry and deep inside of her. That with a emo rock sound would shake the industry she can tap into so much emotion and soul but I think she's scared honestly.
@Darth Mizinth well actually its the opposite of that she spoke about it in a interview her whole team was there and they said what ariana says goes if she doesn't want a track or a sound on her album then it gets cut no question. Ariana herself holds back and doesn't want to express to much within her music because people have said so many things about her when she's in a vulnerable state. She was suppose to have a track called "reMeMber" which was to painful and descriptive about mac and her emotions about him passing so she took it off. Her manager had to beg her just to keep "ghostin" on the album which is about mac and her emotions of feeling lost. I think this album is the right step lyrically and it was very healing with how real it was. She obviously held back so much from us but its her choice at the end of the day.
You know when there's something you're listening everytime, without getting tired of it because it's so good you wished you'd discovered it sooner? Well this is where I am right know. It works sooooo well!
Perfect example of how incredible some of these pop artists could be if they put the same amount of effort into the instruments as they do the vocals. It doesn't have to be rock-sounding necessarily, but there's a reason why acts like One Republic & Imagine Dragons are on an entirely different level from people like Ariana Grande or Katy Perry.
I mean obviously it's pretty subjective but Ariana's Dangerous Woman album was actually quite well produced in my unprofessional opinion. Obviously your tolerance for synth and 90s R&B influence will affect results but I feel inclined to disagree that there was little effort in the music itself.
at the end of the day ariana is a singer that has r&b and pop influences not rock influences so the genres will definitely help define just how much effort is put into the instruments on top of the fact that shes a vocalist...that being said did you even listen to dangerous woman? it was probably her best album to date reguarding production value
Listen to the instrumental for Into You. It is one of the best produced pop songs I have heard in several years. Although you might think differently, Max Martin, the main songwriter and producer, did a fantastic job with this song.
i could definitely see ari doing a pastel goth look, she’s already halfway there. and she could totally do 2000s era rock if she wanted, i’m sure her insane fans wouldn’t even notice lol
