The boiling water on the tea bag starts the steep process to bring out the flavour and then the milk finishes it off. If you do tea, then milk and then water, you have made slightly tea flavoured milk soup.

This (as described above) is the proper British / Australian way to make tea. Americans and Canadians prefer coffee because they have no idea how to make a proper cup of tea -- we often found in restaurants there that they put in the milk first, then some not-very-hot water, and then presented the cup with the teabag sitting on the side of the saucer, waiting to be dunked. You can imagine the result. We made it our life's mission whilst we were in N. America to educate the locals on how to accomplish this important facet of living graciously. PS Love these golf videos -- they remind me so much of my regular Sunday morning foursome... except the golf is better in the videos.

Michael J Brennan don’t. Just don’t. Even as a young lad I recognised Terry and June as a pile of drivel. Not funny in the slightest. We only watched it as there were only three channels and bbc2 probably had the open university on. My dad wouldn’t let us watch STV (ITV) as he thought Robin’s Nest was too risqué. As for Love Thy Neighbour....
