Yes the whole unit plugging into the wall is a big issue for me because it would take up a whole double PowerPoint and the empty adjacent socket could not be used . My Dlink system has a cord that plugs in thereby leaving other sockets free .
i bought the devise , and it work fine but i was wondering after installing this devise and i have internet through electricity all over the house . if buy other WiFi extender same as Linksys AC1200 Boost EX, is it going to work same as the linksys? i mean is it going to take internet from the wall socket?
Hi there, Thanks for the review. I have WD Powerline kit too. According to your personal opinion which one is better (stronger in sygnal)? I am also going to buy PLSK400 and wanted to know your opinion/comparison of both devices. Is PLSK400 worth buying or should I buy another WD kit?
I find that they both provide great equal speed, but the PLSK400 is a bit cheaper and an on kit, only has one Ethernet port. There is no real wrong powerline kit between the two.
For powerline connections, could one adapter plugged into the router supply enough bandwidth through the wall for two more adapters, each for a seperate pc in different rooms?

+Hariharasudhan Venkatachalam So basically two routers, one at each power line kit? If so, then yes, you'll just need to configure the second router to act as a access point to prevent it from conflicting with the original router.
i have one of this , i get it out from electric to change the place of it then, boom it's not working , i tray to fix it by reset bottom but still doesn't work

***** You're slightly mistaken with what I was explaining. What I was referring to is a permanent fixed in wire, powerline kits should never be used with an extension cord, they ruin the signal.
Well ya, you don't want us an extension cord and put it in a cabinet or a drawer (if it's the Ethernet + WiFi extender). If your using the Ethernet only model, I wouldn't see why not (if it's a high quality cable). I do see what your trying to say. I would be nice if they gave you 5 ft to make it to a table of the floor so it's not on the wall but wouldn't a high quality extension cord do that?
+Babbling Boolean What about if it's just a 1' (three-pronged) extension cord? Do you think that would make any difference in speed? I use these a lot to separate my power blocks from the wall and/or power bars.
