what a lovely LInnStrument! reminds me of a guitar fretboard in the way it's laid out. do you get to configure which notes are available on it? why is the subtonic coloured blue?
Yes, it's like strings tuned in fourths. The blue lights are C's but I was playing in Dm. You can change the light configuration to suit what you're playing though - and you can even change the way the rows are tuned as well. It's multi-touch so you can play each note and move it around independently, generating MPE. It's an amazing device, invented by Roger Linn (of Linndrum fame). He gives personal support by email to customers and he's wonderful. I like alternative controllers because they break my keyboard habits and make me play different things. I've also ordered an Expressive E Osmose, but I have to wait until the end of the year for that. I'm actually slightly worried they'll try to deliver it when I'm snowed in...
