When you see people working hard for their spiritual values and representing their traditions, including wearing traditional spiritual clothes, prayer, healing, using herbs, they should be respected and uplifted instead of mocking them, making it look like they are wrong. Because of modern educational values and technology, people tend to criticise the work of people sent to uplift and fulfil traditional culture and their natural spirits.
The words sekuru and tateguru represent the ancestors of the tribe. The song is calling on those good ancestors to come and help guiding the lives of spiritual people. The song says that 'you see me wearing fabrics, tattered clothes, taking spiritual snuff, with uncombed hair, and then you think I'm lost, a loser in my life, just because I am following my spiritual values. So, my ancestors, what can I do with this kind of situation, when people try to make us give up. But give us the power to go forward'
