LOL, I had a similar reaction with my chin when I left a change of fleece sheets on top of the playpen as I was cleaning. I guess that when the fence was bare she couldn't really figure out how to land on the top then hop out, but with the blanked on top she had the math down perfect. Thankfully she was the chillest chin and just took a nice, relaxed tour of the house and went right back to her playpen when I offered a bath. Chinchillas: just when you think you have a good idea of what they can do, they show you they can always jump just a little higher.

This is genius!!! All 4 of my boys always try to jump their playpen. I had been covering it with blankets and just laying inside, but this is so much nicer! *Runs to dollar tree*

Hilarious! They get sooo mad! lololol Oh they can jump 5ft. I had to use U-line 6ft hight cardboard to keep Asher in. He'll probably be able to scale your contraption in time/with practice.

Omg this came at a great time! Both of my chins can jump over there play gate and yesterday they got over for the first time why I was cleaning there cage and they both went under my bed and it took me 3 hours to get them out it was so scary 🥹 I am definitely doing this

My chin would’ve jumped that IMMEDIATELY. He’s an expert jumper and literally has jumped like 180 cm before. We first got him a playpen like that but he immediately jumped over it so now we cannot use playpens whenever we add something on top he keeps jumping to knock it over and jsut escapes 😂

Honestly... Ol' Liney-Liney's ALREADY larger than life HINEY-HINEY would be my devious solution to this problem that he would NEVER see coming! Day one year he's making a 3ft+ standing leap to the tip of the barrier... Annnnd, a month or so later the little chunk can barely jump 10 inches off the ground... MUAHAHAHA!!!
