Linux Review - Nobara Linux, based on Fedora by Glorious Eggroll 

WHY isn't FEDORA like NOBARA? I mean this is the way it should be (EASY for the Beginners) If FEDORA really wants to get lots of potential...this is the best way!

Apps on Nobara have been a lot more stable for me than Fedora 40. I've had to do way like F'ing around with it to get things done and trust me, I have a lot of needs

Great video! I've also had issues installing the KDE version. Funny enough the GNOME version worked very well. I'm still using it to play steam games and practice bash on my main laptop. Any idea why there's this difference between KDE and GNOME?

I used Fedora 39 for a good while and tried Fedora 40 in the live environment but I've been on Tumbleweed for a few months and have mostly enjoyed that. I haven't really tried Nobara since I might prefer CachyOS but it's good to know that there are pros and cons to both Fedora proper and Nobara.

I tried it but there are too many little wrong move which could break something. I hate the bugs I see whenever I log in and log out. Those error messages that should not exist

Had Fedora Workstation Plasma on my daily driver for 2 years now and LOVE it- most stable OS I've ever used. You should also look at Ultramarine- it is "bug for bug" compatible with Fedora. It is basically the same as what Gecko does for Open SUSE or Spiral for Debian.

I know Nobara uses almost the latest Nvidia driver so wont work on older Nvidia gpu hardware.

Thanks for the review. Here's my 2 cents. I'm also a Tumbleweed user, and I'm sticking to it like if I were holding a holy grail. However, Nobara looks good also, and since I'm a gamer, I might consider a switch, if it weren't a hobby distro. Imho in the #11 of his FAQ this phrase is veeeery a double edged sword, and this is why I'm not taking that as a serious distro: "As long as I am alive and using linux this project will continue" and he starts talking about his fater and such... this makes nobara and GloriousEggroll look so very unprofessional. I mean, I get it, its a hobby duct-taped distro that is held together by dream and love, but still, why making such a project, and ruin it with a FAQ like that?! Then don't distribute it IMHO - I wish Fedora would make an official spin like nobara's, so I'd defo take it from there, because at least I know they'll be there forever lol. Tumbleweed is still the #1
