New Linux user here. a few things I have found that I absolutely need: Input Remapper Proton-GE Obsidian (I used this while I was on Windows still but this for sure counts) LibreOffice Lutris Dolphin mpv DeadBeef Input remapper is essential, i swap a key on my very not-programmable-friendly keyboard and it works seamlessly to do that.
@@BlackMage_01 Input remapper is my absolute most important gaming app, as I use gaming keypads that I customize per game. Its what made it feasible to completely move to Linux for gaming.
Is this a re-upload? It seems it came in as 30fps video this time, which allowed me to watch in 1080p now, even though the h264ify browser extension is active and blocking 60fps video, nice! o)
Hello, I've been using openSUSE leap for a few months. I love it only issue ive run into is i cant cast to an external screen, roku etc. Can anyone recommend a casting install? Thanks you guys are awesome
LOL i use geany thanks to DT but for simple edits or editing system files i use neovim. But lately ive been using nvim cause i finally learned and remember how to yank. I dont do things alot so it takes along time to remember or memorize commands i cant just read something a couple times for it to stick.
yea for me alacritty, neovim, rofi, xfce, awesomeWM, i dont' do alot cause i keep things minimal and i mostly just use a browser, or game or decide to mess with new stuff/config apps if i find them cool.
Then hyprland has a bug, which gets immediately solved, but will land in debian after 69 years Truly, such an experience ahahah Not even joking. I literally had to install the git version, instead of the latest stable release, since it still has problems lol I mean, not serious problem, like crashes or whatnot, but still painful to deal with
Tbf. This channel hasn't ever really seemed to be an "open source" specific channel ever. It is always linux themed, but thats not the same as being pro open source. Like dt's channel. I would definitely say he is someone that is actually pro free and open source software and anti proprietary software. Having guys here talking about having google nest productions in their home, apple products. Someone that cared about free software wouldn't be caught dead using that stuff. The proprietary browsers are pretty minimal in comparison. All that said. I'm not the type of person to get actually upset seeing people use proprietary junk that collects and sells your info, i just would never use it myself.
