I wanted to thank you shug for your videos. They have inspired this 55 plus y.o guy and transformed this tent guy to a permanent hanger. I'll never go back! Oh, one more thing, my wife loves your voice!

I think the Linville Gorge is my favorite out of all the trails you hike or Maybe that it always means the return of the Hickery Brothers, either ither way "Enjoyed very much :)) Mighty good pickin' and singing too, Thanks
I was just poking around on the youtube looking at gear reviews and peoples trips, and just loved your video's of these gorge trips. Thank you for taking the time and effort to document your trips. You and Hick seem like a blast to hang out with. I hope to make it down to the Linville Gorge soon.

Hey Shug have a question about Fuel bottles im playing around with switching to alcohol i got me a Venom from woodgaz stoves. were do you carry your plastic bottles mine want fit in my pot i got a 10cm imusa from minibulldesign i like the size but the bottles want fit. its to short. Anyway thanks for the help
Nice work, on another cool adventure :). For the wind noise i put a small circle of blue tac around the microphone on the camera and stick some fake fur fluffy fabric on it, really cuts the wind noise down :)
Really enjoyed the hiking videos, I would like to visit some of the same trails and camp sites you show and was wondering if you ever carried a GPS that would record you trips and campsites to share with others. I.E. Garmin 62s. You are an inspiration to us all that enjoy the sport and you have educated this old man. I love the tails, and your videos are not only fun to watch but we learn a lot too! Keep up the great work!
SHOOOOOOG woo buddy ! Just backpacked the gorge weekend before last.parked at wolf pit and went up and over. Theres a new "pinnacle" trail that hooks up with the MST they want you to use. Its pretty cool. New. But cool. It was my first time there and i cant wait to go back. Clocked about 11 hours of straight sleep in my warbonnet blackbird the last night. Most sound sleep ive had in a LONG time. Right by the river. Glorious. Thx fer makin them video yessir.
Funny thing happened while watching this vid…when you guys heard the train…I had one sounding off by me…I thought…wow they are really close to a train track…

So I spent a few days day hiking the Gorge and I understand why you love it. you mentioned you camped down hawksbill. did you hike up it and follow the trail past it and camp?
well I totally agree with ya on time. We have the KnobStone trail, Mammoth Cave area has some good trails. Willing to travel I have a buddy that goes with me alot also!
Some time u are in area with hickery let us know as me an my wife would lime to hike with u guys but as she is new to hiking we can only do 5 to 7 miles a day but would really like to meet u guys an hike with u
