It looks like the male lion can smell another male lion in his territory & he's angry with the female lion for probably being too friendly with the intruder male lion; he's laying down the law, fully grown male lion style. Then after he's shown who's the boss, he announces his presence & warns the other male lion to stay out of his territory.
Not really. The male wants to mate with the adult female and feels that her juvenile daughter is in the way. Still judging if it's just another cub to kill or a possible future female to mate with, he test her and decided to let her leave.
No. This is a young sub adult female who is not old enuto mate but was sired by the prior coalition and the new coalition of males want to kill her. Now these are Matibas and they decided not too but unfortunately soon after this happened, Matibas ledt rhis oride when BB coalyof 5 came in and rhen BBs killed her. What a formidable young lioness! So sad but my admiration for a girl who stood up to males twice her size and weighed two of these then 5 of the others. Yet she was never givya name and if you have gonads then you are given a name and victory salutatyand recognition for just about anything
AARHUS2006: I have a question for you or for anyone who knows the answer. Can you please tell me why lions lie on their backs when they are fighting?? I am curious.
@@Raneem999 idiot, he couldn't even touched her?? Look at her licking her wounds after he pinned her down and bit her...she was showing submission all the time, if she had stood up, he could have killed her.
Small lion cub has ability to protect himself . guts is very essential to protect ourselves . Guts gives result to us.This is an Extraordinary semi adult lion cub.
“Not taking it laying down” isn’t literal. You realize that, right? She was being very smart showing submission, but every time she detected he might get aggressive again she DID NOT remain submissive and was not lying down, literally. She showed her fierceness just enough and in good portion with the submission to let him know she respects him but she will fuck him up before he takes her down if he tries to.
@@vidkid4072 not quite sure you understand what sarcasm is, but I’m not surprised. You’ve kind of given yourself away already, without even knowing it.
I believe she defended herself but also was submitting to the new pride since the description says she was not apart of their /pride /heir. She may have been accepted into the pride. My crummy guess. This kinda of behavior is shown in household cats and dogs and wild wolves. The getting low as possible. She manage to survive on her own. She was merely asking to join the pride. I think.
she was killed by other coalition of males called the Birmingham boys a few days later.. this two males are the Matimbas. the first male is Hairy Belly and the other one is Ginger.
That's not a fight, it's a dominance demonstration: you can clearly see the lionesses submitting to him and he showing who's boss; most probably those lionesses will be his brides later and love him like no one else.
@indiasupportstrumpwwg1wga927; and yet when men who think like that are weak and feeble they’d still remain impotent and miserable despite bravado and overcompensation.
Unless being cubs , and preventing lionesses to come in heat, I thought young lionesses ,breeding age or not ,were always being left alone, I mean..they would become valuable hunters to provide for the male's new pride, and always be handy when _they_ would become of breeding age....impressive capture....
Males dont have patience whatsoever, they risk being severely injured during ousting of resident males, then pride take overs. After all that hard work, they have no desire to care for Cubs, and adolescents, males or females. All of them have to go so the new males can mate ASAP.
@@pius222 that’s true it’s all about spreading their gene pool If she was 7 mths older she’d have a chance to stay within her pride.. but being on your own & getting ousted is no good either
Extraña naturaleza; Leon quiere dominar a Leona pero no lo consiguio, se defendio hasta que logro que se fuera. Es lo que entendi. Gracias por compartir
JahkTheKiller Sampson tell me why the lion laying in middle help the intruder lion that came, that lion just switched up looooool one ran and the other pushed the other one down this ed edd eddy
Operator: 911 what's your emergency? Caller: my boyfriend is jumping on me! Operator: what's the address? Caller: im not familiar with the area. Operator: is your boyfriend armed? Caller: yes, with sharp claws and razor sharp teeth. Operator: we have units on the way.
IF these Lions were tigers, the humans would be missing, presumed dead. I just seem to notice that where there are tigers, example India and Siberia, there are no open vehicles. I wonder if this is due to Tigers not being fooled/intimidated by big vehicles or can they use their more ample intelligence and know there is an easy meal in that metal open vehicle?
@sumesh s pinarayi did I say a male lion couldn't do such a thing? Sir, where is your clown card? I never said they couldn't, I said it doesn't take "one charge" to shoo a female lion away because they will try to fight back until they just submit. I was replying to the person above me, shut the fuck up and learn to read, sir :)
THIS IS MY FAVORITE ANIMAL BESIDES THE BINGO TIGER 🐅, THAT FEMALE IS REALLY LETTING THE MALE LION KNOW WHOSE THE BOSS BECAUSE SHE’S THE ONE WHO DOES ALL THE HUNTING EVEN HE KNOWS TO RESPECT THAT SHE WILL FIGHT TO THE DEATH IF SHE HAS TOO.🦁🦁🦁
Do you mean "bengal tiger"... and no, her lying down is submissive behavior. They hunt to feed the male lion because the male is bigger and they have to do what he says or he'll kick their asses. Sometimes males will take on the bigger and more dangerous prey, though. Think of them like pimps, fighting other pimps lol.
@@destructimus Females hunt because the male(s) have a much nastier and tiresome job. They protect their pride and territory. The males are constantly patrolling their territory, marking and defending. A male lions life is extraordinarily violent. There is a reason standard documentaries don’t focus too hard on the role of a male lion. It is tough video to watch.
Is this Hairy Belly Matimba? The other lioness is her sister who has cubs with the Matimbas. The lioness is not yet capable of breeding reason for the attack. He didn't kill that sub adult female but sad that she was eventually killed by the Birmingham boys during their take over a few days after this was shot
You hear this lady call the male lion a creep. Wtf are you talking about? Their behaviors have allowed them to sustain their species in their world, nothing more nothing less. In other videos you often hear spectators gasping at the violence of a hunt or sympathizing with prey... Awwwww. Wtf did you think you signed up for? I wish there was a way to edit that out and ALSO the damn camera clicks. This is more a critique of the about the etiquette of the spectators. I have heard in other videos people "shhhh'ing" people who get excited. I like that. These are wild animals and you're going to see some shocking shit! Isn't that why we are compelled to watch? It just annoys me to hear that stuff. Now that my rant is over I still loved this video. Thank you for sharing. LOL
Haha. She was not calling him a creep. She was saying he was creeping up (stalking). We are both big fans of safari in Africa, and this video was shot on our 4th safari. She certainly was not personifying the animal. We both found this video fascinating. I too wish I had the technology to edit out the camera clicks, but alas, I'm not that techno with videos. However, I do enjoy the commentary at times (especially "she's spunky" which she most certainly was!)
don't Lions make you want to just cuddle up to him especially when they have their kittens around when their cubs are hanging out with him makes you want to just pet both of them! And tell them here kitty kitty kitty
A tourist got out of his car a few years ago in the Kruger national park, walked right up to the alpha male and took a photo of the boss(to impress the girls that was with him in the car you see..) Turned his back on the lion and started walking back to the car....stupid never made it, they took him down and he was killed so horribly that pieces of his meat was flying they way the ripped him up
They didn't want to kill her. This lioness was not a member of their pride, and the other lionesses wanted her gone. So, the lions made a show of attacking her to appease the lionesses in their pride. (After driving her off, at a later time they would circle back for a clandestine booty call.)
How come these cats don't say screw this and turn around and leave? They seem like they're smart enough to know that there's plenty of delicious food to go around! But I don't know they seem to have A need to beat the crap out of each other
