Yes, even a lowly house cat can show lot affection if like some one. They shy away or hide, if dislike. Don't push or force a wiled animal, just let them do their thing, play, rub etc... long as they like it, other wise they can turn on you.

This is a short video from a whole Netflick series "Saving Sirga". After watching the Lion Whisperer, on RU-vid for several years, now I find this extraordinary video series...but it has given me an epiphany: it seems, perhaps, lions, for the most part get their aggression from being trained to be aggressive, from birth. Lions like here, and at the Lion Whisperer, and perhaps any number of other public video sites as well, who from birth are taught gentleness (all relative now!!!), in the absence of violence remain "gentle" for life.....hmmmm!....(the epiphany)...it's been known for some time, for the most part, humans treated violently at a young age are the most apt to develop violence-aggression later on in life; perhaps, pan-species, aggression-violent behavior, absent physical or psychological pathology at, or after birth, tend to be gentle adults...all your shrink-types take note of this, if you already haven't.

We human beings are so vain that we feel touched to tears when we see "humaneness" in other animals. Well, but I think if " humaneness" stood for a virtue, that poor animal wouldn't be in a cage! When did you last talk about a "friendship" in terms of "the grateful slave and his loving owner"? I have read that this lion got so used to human company that he had lost his fear of human beings and therefore he will never be able to live freely in the wilderness. This is terribly tragic and unfair! By the way did we ever loose our fear of human beings? We couldn't survive either!
