For the memories of Tina Turner (1939-2023). Perhaps she still lives in some of us, if you know what I mean.
This is my biggest favorite from all of Lion King songs, and one of my two favorites from all of Turner's songs, other being "Simply the Best". And man, this and the in-movie version shared the exact same tempo and all, making this easy and pain-free to make. And personally, I like this Turner's version more.
And speaking of versions, have you ever wondered why in-movie and soundtrack versions of Disney-songs are different? Mostly the songs are being re-performed by the on-screen characters, but "He lives in you" and "Circle of life" were still more of voice over kind of songs, if you know what I mean, so the only logical reason I can think for their recreations is so that they'd be easier to localize to other languages.
PS. Nice that Disney's animated classics still have more value to people than their live action bastardizations. If only Disney themselves would realize that and stop remaking their innocent movies with live action and photorealistic CGi. Maybe if people would boycott the said remakes hard enough, they'd have better chances to flop and Disney would lose the point of remaking them.
