I was at a small party probably around 2000 or 2001, and this kid comes stumbling up to me, high as hell and asks if I want to buy a tape. It just said Lion of Judah on it. He asked for $10, I said nah, and then he just said "Man, I suck, you can just have it". I popped it in without having any idea of what to expect (I assumed it was probably his piss-poor DJing), and then this song starts up on it. At first I thought "Wtf is this?" and then the drop hits and me and all my friends got obsessed with it and would listen to it all the time. One of my friends broke the tape, I forgot the name "Lion of Judah" and never thought I would hear it again since we really didn't know what it was. Luckily I found it again on YT a couple of years ago, and couldn't be happier.
I went to live with my student sister during christmas 1997, this was on a cassette I got out of a ...I shouldn't be even admitting this.....room of one of fellow students it a recording of an essential mix for that year.
