Get ready to turn up your volume! Cool lion roar video filmed at Black Pines Animal Park. This is a "last chance" refuge for captive-raised non-domestic animals in need. Please visit and support them at www.blackpine.org/.
I used to work at a zoo and have been up close to lions doing this. No recorded audio will ever capture how intense it is. You feel the vibrations through the core of your being when you are hearing it from that close. Even if you are 100% deaf, you will FEEL it.
Exactly, I've had an opportunity recently to hear a big male lion do this at the zoo, about 2 meters away from me. I was standing in front of him and yes, camera mic don't do justice how loud it is, and you feel the power, the whole cage and the fence was vibrating like crazy, truly wonderful experience. Magnificent creatures.
literally, all these zoo videos are like "he's so pretty!!" like bae, he looks so overfed and undertreated, with the smallest amount of space he can get
Alannah TheSuccubusQueen ‘ Probably’?! How? Where? One can see there’s nothing more than this ridiculously unfitting piece of crap to let the lion roam!
Because that was a tiger snarl not a lion. Tigers make that sound and lions make these. The lions roar is much deeper, lower and can be heard much further. Both sound great though.
broke ass sanctuary more like it.most likely barely scraping by trying to care for the animals to the best of their ability.sanctuaries can't necessarily make big cages cause they lack space and money trying to care for animals that are in need cause people can't get it throw their skulls these animals aren't pets or road show attractions. you know zoos and sanctuaries are nonprofit organizations that are trying to help.but because they heavily rely on public funding they barley scrape by.if you want to see these animals in a bigger cage boycotting won't work fucking donating towards a cage fund would.all boycotting would do is getting the animals killed or cause them to have to down size the cages.
"I was born to be King of the Savannah. To stand in the sun as it crawled like gold across the plains. I would fill the air with my roar and all would tremble. But here I am in this small ramshackle cage, while humans chuckle with amusement. But thanks for the ball, that's really great, that is!"
+Jack Woodgate It is the point it's not African Lion that you mentioned in your story. You should have made this story about Asian Lion then it would be matched perfectly. Hope you understand what I tried to say to you
Around 550 + lion freedom in Junagadh, amreli city in Gujarat ( India)... I also saw female lion and her little baby lion , in our soil and our village...
No. Definition of “Beauty And The Beast” (Wikipedia): Beauty and the Beast is a 1991 American animated musical romantic fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is based on the 1756 fairy tale of the same name by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont (who was only credited in the French dub),[6] while also containing ideas from the 1946 French film also of the same name directed by Jean Cocteau.[7] The film was directed by Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise (in their feature directorial debuts) and produced by Don Hahn, from a screenplay by Linda Woolverton.
1) he's not roaring, he's chuffing. It's actually a friendly noise and not meant to be intimidating. He's not upset. (I was confused with a tiger when I made this post! However I do know more about big cats, and Lions roar when they mark their territory! So he's still not upset or angry!) 2) the reason why he's so short is because he's an Asian lion and not an African one, which are built different. 3) Please stop being animal SJWs over the internet. If you really want to do something, search for the kind of things animals need for being in captivity. Inform people and Zoos about how they should be treated while they're like this, if you're so mad about it. If you won't, then don't preach to the RU-vid comments about how much you hate it. You're not doing anything, forreal. If you want to help the animal, then do it. I don't care if you're 9 or 40.
Also, not all wild animals are fit to *be* in the wild. Sometimes they're injured, or old, or abused and don't know how to behave outside of the closed courters. In reality, most Zoos try and help these animals and keep them safe, but not all places can afford such things they need to provide the proper environment. If this angers you, consider donating to a place that needs it or spread awareness. Barking online on a video won't do shit, man.
@@noldi3dzulqadahipjp66 “King of the jungle” is a pretty common term not meant to be taken literally. It’s more of a reference to them being the top of the food chain rather than to their geographical location.
@@noldi3dzulqadahipjp66 lions do live in jungles but in small numbers. There are cameratrap photos of lions being found in places like the ethiopian jungle, bale mountains, harenna rainforest and the congo basin.
TruthSeeker lol It's when you dye your hair and it starts off from light to dark, it's like multiple colors, but they gradually fade into each other. look it up.
yes! I wish something could be done. It makes me sick to watch this. I mean truly hearts my heart for this great animal ....how very very sad. I wonder what he was saying. I dont think I I really want to know, I might cry.
He's probably roaring gimme a bigger enclosure... If your gonna keep exotic animals away from the wild, at least have the decency to give them a proper enclosure
i was once at the zoo in germany when the lions were being fed. there was a punk with his dog and he asked if it was ok if the dog was there. the zookeeper said that the lion didn't really care, but that he should hold the dog tight. when the lion saw the dog, it roared very loudly, the dog pooped on the spot and hid behind the legs of its owner. unique experience
I still remember hearing a lion roar for the first time up close like this at the megnetic hill zoo. It feels like crazy bass. You feel it inside of you. Craziest thing ever
How tragic that The Natural King of The Savannah is inside a pen that almost looks like an oversized chicken coop... These people seriously couldnt find an exhibit bigger for a MALE LION
***** Yea you can take your social justice warrior PC bullshit somewhere else. Healthy at every size is 100% PURE BULLSHIT. If you are fat you are UNHEALTHY PERIOD. Bullshit PC wishful thinking does not stand up to science.
Watch "Brothers in blood: Lions of Sabi sands" and you won't feel sorry for him at all. Instead you'll feel sorry for the countless wild lions who barely ever survive to adulthood. And when they do it's constant struggle that ends with a violent painful death at the hands of other lions.
I think it's more right to say the king of the asphalt is the boreau that's managing everything that lives on said asphalt. That includes us, this poor lion and everything else that was unlucky enough to be brought into post-industrial civilizations.
He's looking at the trees. Everyday he's hoping how nice to be able to break out and run towards those trees... And further.. And further... Further...
@@sheldonjunior7467 I understand what ur saying but I don't think they are making an effort to help the lion by just letting them die a slow locked up death like this.
@@joemertube6453 Would you rather him die like most adult males? At maybe 10 years old in a brutal, bloody murder ripped apart by other males taking over their pride?
At the zoo in San Francisco they used to allow the public to watch the feeding of the big cats. You could get within 10 feet of them. It was indoors and all of the cats would start roaring for their food. Twenty or so big cats all letting go at once. You could feel it.
Such a majestic animal locked in a cage. Sad shit a zoo, locking animals for profit and entertainment. Natural behavior from a lion and people laughing at him.
People always talking about how mean it is to confine them and that. But do you realize how cruel a lions life is when they are free in the African plains? It's bloody cruel and all around a struggle. Being fed everyday and having water at your leisure isn't such a bad life.
it also the way things are supposed to be. they are born in the wild and born with natural instincts and hunting abilities. they know what they're doing out there, sure of them die and terrible things do happen but that's nature and the way it's supposed to be. what is really wrong is when humans step in and decide to play god and make the decision of where they should live and when they should die.
Are you kidding? So if someone just scooped you up and put you in....say...a prison cell...where you couldn't move around or see your family and people came and took pictures and mocked you...as long as they fed you and gave you water...that wouldn't be such a bad life? In fact it would be a kindness bestowed upon you for removing the struggles of life such as finding work and taking care of yourself. Life is a struggle. No one should have the right to take the choice to live freely away from these animals. Especially not to put them in a tiny little cage like this one. It's disgusting.
Also I never said it was "better". Thanks for putting that word in my mouth. I was merely pointing out how it's not really much worse than the natural life. There are good points and bad points to both sides of the spectrum
@@TheLizardWizard_the2nd...... Even though Female lions do most of the hunting.... male lions patrol large areas fighting off other male lions, taking over other prides, protecting their pride and cubs (when male lions take over a pride they massacre all the cubs that are not theirs). The mapogo coalition probably the most famous lion coalition conquered an area the size of 170,00 acres, they patrolled this area scent marking and figting other lions
@@SomeDude_92... Yep, cuz they King's... Just like in medieval times in Europe when a person takes over a kingdom he kills all of his rivals heirs who may have claim to the throne.
Growing up as a kid watching lions in cartoons, I was always under the impression a lion’s roar was long and extremely loud. This....this sounds like a laser cannon that just ran out of ammo.
