Lionel Lighted FasTrack Transformer Control will it Work? 

That's a clever idea from Lionel and you're brave to experiment with it. I'm glad you took the risk, it's really cool. Is there a setting to just have all sections constantly ON or can they only light up when a train goes past? I like your "out-takes" at the end too. Your daughters are awesome to give you such a cool gift.

Nice Job Mark. I was figuring you could do something similar. It will definitely look cool under a Tree. You would think they would include the Plug In like they do with Lionchief Sets Track.

Hi Mark - I just bought the Lighted Fastrack and discovered the same thing about power. After watching your video, I'm wondering if I can replace its power track with a regular Fastrack terminal section and hook that up to my CW-80 transformer that came with my Polar Express set. What do you think? By the way, the lighted set does NOT come with any instructions. Thanks. - Tom

Hey, put some extra weight into all the lightweight cars (like the caboose) Then, you'll have a near flicker free transition with the lighted on the track sections. Good idea with the charger. Don't know why Lionel doesn't make connecting as easy as you did and simply put the money for the wall warts into the train motors instead.

Neat that you figured out this problem Mark. CW80 transformer is great on Fastrack. Will it work on this type of Fastrack?

My friends and I all agree on one thing: Lionel decided to design by Nerd rather than by Train hobbyist. What a disaster this has proven to be.
