Coming from a Madrid fan: Messi is the best footballer in the world right now. Admitting that doesn't make me a traitor against my club, and it doesn't mean I'm switching teams. It simply means that I can see past club rivalry, and admire true talent when I see it. Don't get me wrong, Madrid will always be my club and CR7 will always be one of my idols. But one can't just not acknowledge everything that Messi has accomplished. That man is just brilliant.
First of all.. RESPECT from a Barça fan. Respect to you and your comment here... Though i don't live at Barça right now but anyday i would love to move back there and also yes am not Spanish. But i have lived 3 most wonderful years in that city and i will forever shout for my Barça and for our LM10 and would love to back in that city anytime. I really like CR7 as he is absolutely brilliant too with equally amazing skills but to me only LN10 can make me smile in the most despair moments of pain.

There aren't many Real Madrid fans who would say what you just did, but everyone outside of the Spanish capital can see that Messi has been the best player for the past four years. Whether Ronaldo goes on to have better seasons in the next few years is unknown, but for now Messi is a class above everyone else on a football pitch. Wednesday night's game against PSG is an example of that. He wasn't fully fit, came on with twenty minutes left, and changed the game immensely.

I'm proud to live in a lifetime with many stars with so much talent. Seeing both Ronaldo's, Ronaldinho, Messi, Neymar, Thomas Muller and so many other stars that other children wont get to see or hear from but stories coming from their parents.
Nobody reads, feels the game like he does. He scores, he makes others score, breaks record after record, and the scary part is he's only just 25, and it feels like he's been around for such a long time already. He can easily go for another 7-8 years, where is this going to end? Living legend already, Lionel Messi, by a fair distance the best player on the planet.
Everytime I see him on tv or in the news, I think of how none of this ever would have happened or the man wouldn't be where he is without Barcelona taking him and deciding to pay his medical expenses for the surgery he needed to keep playing. Barcelona has got to be the smartest club of all time for this reason in itself.

Messi also has the personality and motivation. Something Ronaldinho clearly lacks seeing his many visits to the nightclubs. But I have to admit I'm a fan of Ronaldinho but Messi is just in another league, a genius that I believe I will never see again.
