As a Liverpool fan I've witnessed Mo Sallah on two occasions in the same season dribble the ball into the net by going past numerous bewildered defenders. He got deserved praise for those amazing goals and what a remarkable player he has been but...Lionel Messi...how many times as he done those things? He's done them far more often and far more naturally. I take my hat off to the greatest player ever to kick a ball. There should be NO debate about who is the greatest player of all time.

It's been said before, but Messi didn't just master the game of football as many other great players have in the past, he mastered the physics of football. He knew exactly how the ball would behave off his foot, how it would bounce, how it would roll, to a degree that is just uncanny. And on top of that, he knew exactly how every player around him would move and react even before they themselves knew. I've never seen any player put such ferocious spin on the ball with less visible effort. It's like he knew where to strike the ball down to the atom to get it to fly like that. Just unreal.

I don’t follow soccer but from these clips it seems obvious he has transcended the sport, as Borg did tennis, Gretzky did hockey, Ruth did baseball, and Ali did boxing. As such he is a disruptive figure - his outsized abilities giving whatever team he is on an unfair advantage. His career is nearing its end as he edges toward 40, and when he retires the sport will regain its balance, with “ordinary” superstars able to display their talents, no longer under Messi’s shadow.

What is more unbelievable was that he was giving the best assists, was the best dribbler and was able to score for 19 straight games, never done before. He was also winning more trophies than anyone. Dani Alves has the record of 43 trophies. Messi has 42 trophies including the world cup. He will win ligue 1 and be tied for first, plus any extra trophy he gets to be alone at the top He is unbelievable. The undisputed GOAT🐐
