The amount of goals, assists, trophies, records, etc.. all of these things come with greatness, but shouldn't be the only thing one looks at when judging a player. Just by watching Messi, and seeing how easy he can make the beautiful game look with that left foot. It's amazing. What we see from CR7 is only fantastic goals and incredible runs, but where do we see his vision, throughpasses, teamplay and dribble? I mean, not showing off tricks, but dribbling 3-4 players each game? CR7 is probably one of the most fantastic goalscorers in history, but Messi is with no doubt the best overall player in history. Messi has a natural talent.... He was born to be a football player.... No one can play like him even you worked or trained very hard. That's natural talent... A god given talent. But on the other hand... Ronaldo worked and trained very hard to be a footballer.. He have reached the limits in training.. Any player can play like him, only if he works very hard. You are unable to see how spoonfed this guy has been to attain the stats he has, and when looked into with unbias researching it becomes painfully obvious that Cristiano has nowhere near the abilities, efficient gameplay (so much goes to waste) and most importantly, game intellect that Messi possesses. A good understanding of football can quite easily come to this conclusion.
