We shouldn't be disappointed with messi winning only one world cup...its was a blessing in disguise for messi fans...bcz not winning anything major with Argentina motivated him to remain sharp..bcz of that he took care of himself and his game this far....we were able to witness his magic for soo long.... His motivation was his failure with Argentina...

actually there is a better freekick taker than leo. he is called juninho. and its not even close. of course leo is in the discussion as well, but juninho is a clearly better freekick taker. IIRC juninho scored 45/100 goals for lyon by direct freekick, which is an isane quote. and this wasnt the only club he played for. he is a brazilian. seek out a compilation here. he is just brillant, it has to be said - if you enjoy leos freekicks you're in for an absolute treat. also: in "many" messi stats you will find someone who bested him - it is the fact that messi is basically everywhere relevant near or at the top, while juninho "only" truly shines in freekicks. playmaker stats are obviously in his favor ( easily most assists asoasf), but he isnt the "best" striker ( of course he isnt, he is a playmaker ^^). also: seek out the kevin prince boateng interview ( its about an hour and can be found here on youtube). there he speaks briefly about his time in barcelona and how good messi is in training and champions league warm up routine ( lol, seek it out, its hilarious). these statements are the most valuable, if you want to fathom messis greatness. first hand experiences from other fully grown professionals that trained and played with him who start talking like kids as soon as they have to speak about him. he basically said out of 100 messi didnt score 2 or 3, because of incredible goalkeeper saves. if you believe boateng, messi "just does not miss". which strikes me as normal, because i accepted the fact that some entity must have touched his left leg when he was very small. with entity-power you dont miss.
