This song reminds me of my dad. He would play this every Sunday morning while he would make his crispy bacon special. This brings me back to a simpler time where life wasn’t stressful. R.I.P Dad 🕊️
Me too..Sunday morning coming down Kris Kristofferson is another classic.. tomorrow is Monday and it's fuck Mondays by the punk band the rizzeowls fro Scotland..sweet..a bit loud though 😂😂😂😂😂
This is the first song my brother taught me on the guitar. He passed in 2000. This song always reminds me of him. Miss you Bert. Love our times together.😇
My brother also showed me this song and passed 5 years ago at 43 total shock I feel your pain so sorry for your loss this song always hits hard on my emotions reminds me of my bro
This hit me like a bag of bricks, but in a good way. I want you to be free, I know easier said than done, but don’t you want that for yourself? I sense you do. …in this ONE, short, fleeting life we have here on earth. It would be a shame for you to never be who you are, who you’re meant to be. I always try to remind myself of the people, in previous generations, that fought for us all to be free. Whether our religion, speech, color of our skin, just to be a woman and exist on a (somewhat) level playing field, where we live, what we do, who we love/have families with, and now being whatever gender one chooses. Each took many people to fight for each of those freedoms. Just remember, you’re meant to be you for a reason…. There’s only ONE, unique, you. ❤🪽 (I’ll try to take my own advice too.🤞)
This song makes me think of my Dad...years ago, I had just started working a truck driving job, he called me outside of St Louis, MO., he came to where my truck was and picked me up, we then went to dinner....this song was playing in his car....
Me too bro I miss my dad you're comment just nailed me first thing this morning. Lost my dad about 2 months ago back when you first made this post. I hope I see him again oneday
This song reminds me of when we would get in the car and drive with our dad and just listen to his Lionel Richie songs because that was his favorite, miss you dad 2018❤️❤️❤️
Music became commercialized, big labels realized that could make the same money with minimal effort, and smaller artists that actually wanted to create something were overshadowed. Music didn’t get worse, but at this time, you have to look past what’s in the forefront.
Ed, this is perfect! I love the perfect visualization of this… driving, alone, listening to some light tunes on the radio, on the winding roads of the mountains, the morning sun rays coming through the beautiful green trees, the night’s misty dew rising and drying off in the morning warmth. Ahhh, the windows down, wind sweeping your hair, taking deep breaths of the fresh, clean, crisp air, hand out the window feeling the breeze, maybe even seeing little birds and chipmunks in the woods. It’s perfect. I’m remembering my solo drive, from Chicago to Seattle last August/September. I had a few morning drives like that! Thanks for the reminder of those great memories.❤ I wish I could go back and take more time… take some detours, slow it down, enjoy the sights, and really enjoy the experience. I wish, I hope there’ll be a next time🤞 💚🐿️🕊️⛰️🌲🌄🌞🚙
Wow I’m 21 and found This music through a RU-vid account. I was meant to find this. I dig it man!! This song makes me a little nostalgic..., it must been beautiful and abundant back then. Now..., it’s all technology and kids never playing outside & parents on phones. I like simple... with out technology we would probably be happier individuals.
Easy like Sunday morning....... Love you Lionel and THANK YOU for the BEAUTIFUL songs you have shared with us!!! Reminds me of my daddy...R.I.P 01/15/81
Lionel at his best! I've always liked Lionel Ritchie. This song was on my mix tapes back when. It's crazy that he's a fan of my son's singing and sent him to Hollywood for season two of American idol.
Love my Grandma for introducing me to this music and more... 84 baby for life listening to the best oldies and goodies of my Grandma's time. Love you Grandma ❤️😘💕❤️
Whenever I hear any Lionel Richie songs, it brings back great memories ! His voice touches my very soul and brings tears to my eyes, Yes, He's one of the greatest singers and song writers of our time ! Love him ! And love Kenny Rogers to when how they sang together !
Richie is one of the best, if not THE best, at creating musical arrangements for two singers in the business. When he backed out of the Duets TV show and they replaced him with John Legend, I knew the show was doomed. Although very good performers in their own right, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Robin Thicke, and Jennifer Nettles just didn't have the musical composing and arranging chops that were required to hold the show together. I heard some of the worst duets ever on that show.
Since I the Commodores 📀 we bought the LP. All the way to your 1980s songs, from Hello to All Night Long, the LP albums or cassettes we're in back then. Sometimes I'd record from the radio on cassette as I wait for a favorite song while doing chores or after work or weekends. I preferred to buy the albums, other artists too, because they had the lyrics I could follow along with, never sing them, just to know what the lyrics read.

Mommyhood Chaos even 201000, we will still be listening to our good 70s and 80s music, by the year 20000000000000 there will be no music, there is none already, so you can just imagine that time...
Brings me back to the end of camp for the summer of 1978 .... I was crushing on a girl but didn't have the heart to tell her and I was so upset that I missed my chance ... I can see her now and I can almost hear the camp counselor thanking all my friends for a wonderful/memorable time - we rode into the sunset with this song and now back to P.S. 177 ...yeah good old days!!
It was year 2000 and I woke up to this song while i was stydying in London..it was memorable and nostalgic. Miss my old place near the Uni... These are the songs that will always be evergreen. Bloody hell .. miss those times.. walking to marketplace and eating fish n chips
I remember when I first heard this song. I was 6yr. old playing in the park on the swings in the 70s. This Classic is still one of my favorites. 2/8/2020.
I watched my girlfriend break up with me and walk off in front of me in 2007, she still the most beautiful thing I ever saw so kind I still wonder what I did though we was young. She was my first and my everlasting pain heard she got married last year happy for her. Well as for me I just move with the wind and life’s has been alright
Omg,playing all this oldest, brings back so so much memories, I just wish we can listen to all this great jams on a daily radio station, I just want to get up and boogie lol
I absolutely love Lionel Richie his music left me with alot of great memories and some sad ones but never the less I have awesome memories due to his music and his beautiful voice 👌🎤🎶🎸💖
There’s still good lyricists and singers like Lionell just a different time but those mumble rappers do suck and have no taste but people like j cole , Kanye west are fr lyricists
