WOW I have NEVER seen a cheetah chase away a bigger,stronger lioness cause usually its vice versa. Fair play to the mother cheetah. After this incident I now view cheetah in a different way than before

It's all about confidence and the art of the bluff. There is a video elsewhere on youtube of three men (Masai tribesmen) walking up to an entire pride of lions who have just killed an animal, and chasing them off it. They step up from behind a rise, and just walk down in lockstep, bearing down on the pride with pure brass balled confidence, and it spooks the lions who aren't sure what to make of them. The lions retreat from the kill and then one of them hacks off a haunch, puts it over his shoulder and the men leave again, after which the lions returned to the kill.

That's crazy where the lioness is jogging and Hunny is just strolling along and then the lioness sprints and You can just see Hunny's body change gears and she goes full speed. That was awesome.

what a brave one! They are natural enemies, but I've never seen A CHEETAH chasing A LION . honey's weight is about 40 kg and the successfully defended her family in front of 170 kg predator... that is rarest thing I could ever see

Honey the cheetah the great warrior who protests against lions and doesn't feel scared to chase them one more time and she protect her cubs when the beast is entering into her family .she is extremely brave.God bless honey !!!

I remember when I first saw this episode,it was either when 9 or 10,and I was so excited to see a cheetah chasing a lion and the lion actually running away from her.Honey was very brace,braver than all the cheetahs on Big Cat Diary.

Honey was killed by medical malpractice/negligence by a Kenyan veterinarian. Since humans killed the mother, the decision was made to intervene and save the 3 remaining cubs, all males. They made it into adulthood and became formidable. Unfortunately, they did not remember their childhood lessons well at some point and one of these three was killed, years later, by an adult male lion. They also caused the death of an adult female (who just wanted to be left alone) by the same lion.

THIS EPISODE WAS ON TV TODAY FOR BIG CAT DAY, HONEY HAS SOME AMAZING GENES, HER MOM WAS AMBER THE GREATEST CHEETAH ON BCD. WAY TO GO HONEY YOU TOTALY EMBARRASSED THAT LIONESS.

@gaiagale Honey had a fourth cub, a female, and unfortunately, the poor thing was killed by a lion. So it makes sense for Honey to fight back here. She already lost her only daughter to a lion, like hell she was gonna lose another child to one.

Toto's litter preceded this litter. These three boys are the ones who survived Honey's Manslaughter by veterinarian incompetence. They have become known to tourists as "The Honey Boys." Sadly, one of the Honey Boys was killed by a lion October 2011 and now there are just the two boys left -- Honey and her offspring had a lot of terrible luck...it's a harsh life that is dealt to the cheetah, I wish that lions would leave them alone :-(

If you all don’t know , honey was sadly killed accidentally by someone who shot her with a dart but the dart hit her kidney and honey died a slow painful death

In my mind I can only imagine the lioness regarding the onrushing cheetah with the same kind of incredulity as that Star Destroyer bridge officer in ESB when Han turned the Millennium Falcon around and rushed them head on. _"They're moving to attack position!!!"_ - in a tone of voice that implies he thinks whoever is flying the Falcon has clearly lost his mind.

in my whole life iwas teached that no one absolutley no one could beat or intimidate al lion but nature always teaches me that it is unpredictable so un predictable that a cheetah can intimidate a lioness all by her self its freaking unbelivable

Honey was killed appx. 6 months after this by an incompetent Government veterinarian who I think still practices because his name has been protected by Kenya. The three cubs became successful thriving adults known as The Honey Boys. One of the Honey Boys was killed by a lion October 2011 and the remaining two are still together and doing well although one has an unsightly upper lip injury...harsh luck for Honey & her offspring :-(
