No, he was attacking that one female with the other females. The other two male lions were doing good here. How can your perception be so bad? I genuinely wonder..
Ken Leahy Yes, I was about to say the same. They should be seperated or their breeding controlled. Or is this for the spectators' viewing pleasure. What is the name of this barbaric zoo?
Zainul Zainul maybe they're brothers though. Remember the ghost and the darkness, they were brothers and lived in the wild. And a lot of it looked like play fighting not real fighting.
0:47 You can see the male telling her to stop, seems he's pretty chill. Then at 1:01 you can see the lioness roared and it seems she agreed with the male after all.
The one lioness always lying on the ground was being attacked by the rest of the group, until the male lion steps in and defends her from everybody what a champ. He not only has a kinded heart but he is also strong as fuck.
...never before have I witnessed a situation where almost every lion is actually fighting another one...this must be a very difficult situation for these admirable creatures to cope with !!
@@duchainguyen828 if u think about it its sort of dumb fighting for dominance in a cage. At the end of the day your at the whim of others and humans dont care which lion is dominant, the most passive one will be liked the most. I guess its in their instinct though to fight even though its useless to do so in captivity.
My theory is that the victim is a daughter lioness of a newer generation but since the territory (or enclosure) is so small, the older lionesses feel like they're resources and ranking are threatened by the younger, smaller lioness. The dominant male lion, the one seemingly trying to shield the victim, his goal might be to collect the biggest harem of females that he can mate with so, therefore, would be in his best interest to protect the victim. If the victim is related to the dominant male, a reason to protect her would be securing genetic progeny. The victim is also probably the offspring of a lower-ranking lioness, so that could be why we didn't see a mother lioness try to step in for her daughter. Maybe her grandmother/aunts/older cousins were going after her instead?
Omg you need to get out more, it's not that deep. Go touch some grass and get a life. Lions fight when one goes into heat. That's just what it is. They also fight. Liones are bitches. It happens.
It's far from a good situation for them. I can only imagine how stressed they are there. Many lions in a small area in captivity is not right. In my eyes it's abuse. Being used as a entertainment for humans is disgusting!!
Many of them are rescues, and can't live out in the wild as well as they are meant to. The zoo only has so much land and momey to provide utmost comfort for them, and admitting visitors for emtertainment is a good way to get the funds they need.
Someone define "small" for me. I've seen 6+ lions in a cage before and they looked every unhealthy. These looks are well taken cared of. The space is every big and they look very healthy. Stop complaining.
Does anyone know of this place? Everyone is complaining about the size from a 3 minute video. The place has buses driving through so it must be of some size. People saying they were looking at the gate for a way out, are you kidding. Let's see the whole place before casting judgement.
Regardless, we all can see this is an enclosed evironment even if it allowed a couple miles to roam. Not the same as their natural open habitat environment which is deep and wide. This sucks, straight up! Lets place your dumb ass in an open space yet limited cage and then not cast judgement while you are gawked at.
The male Lion who's defending the liones from others , is a very good example for people. That's how you people should do when all of them are bullying one ❤. Be like a lion 🦁 #FEARLESS
David Craft Yes, in the wild many brother male lions will go out and look for a pride and kill the male lion. Usually this results in a very strong pride as they can probably outnumber and nomadic single lions
lol lol yea, I remember the Ghost and the Darkness, a pair of brother man-eaters, that's why I asked if they were brothers. Thanks for the info though. 😄😄😄
In the wild unrelated males sometimes team up to form coalitions they can number anywhere from 2 to 5 or 6 it makes it easier to bring down prey and means they have a better chance of ousting males and taking over their prides.
Is this the Lion Enclosure at the Tama-Zoo? I noticed a Lion bus driving in there. Plus, I can hear the little kid in the background speaking in Japanese.
Yeah females ganging up on one lioness and one male doing his best to protect her by keeping the peace. What impressed me was he did so without having to physically attack any of the other lionesses that were attacking her.
When the lioness hid, she disappeared from sight, and when she disappeared from sight, the group began to quickly forget about it, and the problem evaporated into the air.
Amidst all this chaos which captivity has caused, it's interesting still to look at the behavior of each individual lion. What I found most interesting was one of the males who was protecting the lioness with the docked tail. She must be in season and his mate because he wasn't even allowing her to get involved, and she was quite affectionate towards him and not the other males. In fact, when the other makes attempted to even come close to her, he chased them away.
The one with the docked tail was the trouble maker. He was stopping her from escalating. She probably caught him with the other female making sweet sweet love last night and now she's pissed.
The way they fight doesnt make any sense... Its like entering a club drunk, with already drunk people inside and starting fights with everybody for no reason
I think its because they are meant to kill by stealth not fight directly. If humans were as strong as these animals and we were trained wed win easily since we have a more agile fighting style so we can dodge while hitting vital areas. Alas, lions are much stronger.
No, it's clear. There are two factions. One dominant male and his fave girl. She's getting bullied but he isn't having it and will throw down with every single one of them for her. And they don't want the smoke. They did enough to her. I bet this happens a lot. Ppl saying the pen is too small are full of it too. In the wild they kill and half eat each other alive. Break each others spines for the slightest infraction. This is very tame.
