It is a bachelor group. How they are loving in this zoo is normal. In the wild, their can be large groups of male lions together for a couple of years. They are fighting to set up a hierarchy.
If those lions are scrapping over food, that’s an example of poor zoo management. That should never happen. Also, the enclosure is far too small. Poor zoo management!
Sweetie you don't have any idea what you're talking about you don't know the first thing about the nature of the beast why don't you do some checking into the nature and behavior of lions tigers bears oh my!!
@@karentharp8282 maybe do some more research she's right you really think that a small habitat is good for those animals. I can already tell its not just that they are all males which would be harder to keep care of. There all in the same pen males are more aggrieve than females just by your name I can already tell your as dumb as a post also try to check your grammar as well as your research sweetie
Funny thing, how life works… You express an opinion, you can expect a reply. Delusional wanna-be demigods don’t quite get this, but that’s how it works amongst mortals.
@@maxshaw1330 Tell me who here said you want to be a demigod? You go back to school, buddy, you run away from text interpretation class? How hard is it to see that I gave a compliment to the animal? Ass
Did you? You called it a “symbol.” When you see a beautiful, elegant woman do you refer to her as a symbol of femininity? You may not have meant to, but your words certainly stripped the subject of your compliment of their independence and assigned them a value according to your valuation. My apologies if that’s a little deep for you.
The biggest box office attraction for the zoos’ are to put all the male lions together. You would feel the vibe of true power, aggression and strength. That’s what you call lion. Brotherly and social to each other but territorial and loud by aggression level and ego. True king of the beasts. I am a massive fan of lion.
These three lion were brothers. They were separated from their birth pride at Werribee Zoo (an open range park run by the same organization) when they were 18 months old (the age lion males are usually chased away from their birth pride) and lived in this enclosure the rest of their lives. The last one died in 2016 after a stroke. He was 16 (which is old for a lion)
Very sad, it looks like those lions fought a lot. Too small of an area and too dominant males to be together like that. That is animal cruelty. Too many videos of those lions fighting. The zoo should have separated them.
Just like somebody else's comment educate yourself of the nature of the beast!! After you've done extensive research from birth to death then you'll have a better understanding of what they're doing they are playing they are helping each other develop strong skills that they need to protect themselves it doesn't matter if they're in a casement or in the wild they are not going to change their in basic instincts and habits. And a lion roar is one of the best or cougar or puma or tiger or leopard etc!!
@Karen Tharp seriously Karen you have no idea what you are saying. There are way too many male lions together in such a small space. Lions have a range of 5 square miles as their own territory and will fight intruding lions. Having 4 lions together like this, especially while feeding is just asking for them to fight each other. It is cruel and unnecessary.
@@issaciams -- Lions kill each other in the wild all the time. Prides go after other prides. I recently saw a video discussing. Nature is brutal. 7/16/22, 10:18 p.m.
Everybody calm down, they are just sparring not fighting, it's just the daily sparring session ALL LIONS DO to stay in top shape, release some energy and sharpen they fighting skills IT'S OKAY
NO - this is aggressive behaviour, you can tell that they're agitated. perhaps they can smell females nearby in estrus but that said it's nothing serious as this would happen in the wild amongst coalition male lions too there's no killing intent as would be the case in a takeover or something.
Grown male lions don’t “spar.” That’s juvenile behavior. Grown male lions fight to protect their prides and territory, often collaboratively. But “sparring” amongst cooperative males, no. This is overcrowding of adult males and clearly at least one is in a bad mood and lashing out at the others. Fortunately, these animals are intelligent and it won’t likely escalate too badly, and certainly the outcome probably won’t result in the death of one or more, as it’s not a true territorial or breeding fight. But “sparring”? Nah, bro.
aziz 001 Lions grow large manes like this because of cold climate, so they could be any type of lion. They look like Masai lions of east Africa, based on their build and skull type, but not Barbary lions. Look up "lion mane linked to climate" on Google.
@Shanks RedHair Tigers running away from trouble? Yeah not to sure about that but i do say lions are frigging brawls where the tiger is more of an assassin but you already know that right?
this kind of reminds me of the gatorade commercial where the indianapolis colts were playing against lions but it,s just lions fighting in a zoo and people watching the lions fight
Imagine if people steal your children, family or friends and keep them in a cage. Animals suffer in cages. BOYCOTT zoos, circuses with animals, aquariums, etc.
I've been to several zoo around the world the Holland as it wasn't very big but was kind of real outdoorsy I observed a fight between two zebras my goodness they were cutting each other up oh it was quite an experience one I will never forget!!
@Otto Krackinfahrt don't be stupid if you stood there and watched two massive animals going at it at each other it was Fascinate you too you ass no I didn't squeal with Glee because I don't like violence I wanted somebody to stop them but they won't going to they were going to let them work it out!! The zoo employees that were there observing they have hoses but they weren't stopping them so yeah it was exciting it was uniquely different have you ever seen horses flight I've seen him attempt to but I've never seen an all-out fight like this with the biting in the kicking in the I mean oh my gosh and I doubt I will ever see anything like that ever again it was a once in a lifetime eye-opening moment that is all you stupid idiot squeal with Glee that's probably what you would do and rub your hands together like a hungry fly and oh yeah oh yeah you probably cream your pants you're an ass!!
Lions on average are the biggest cat species since a lot of Tiger subspecies like Sumatran’s can average 100- 127kg fully grown. The biggest Tigers are Bengals and Siberians which average 190-205 but Bengals get slightly bigger than Siberians and Lions in the wild weight wise and average 200- 225kg. Barbary Lions are a completely different story as they averaged a crazy 230 while most African lions average 190-215. Don’t rely on the biggest specimens for weight statistics because they tend to be exaggerated or estimated
Why does only only one male have a bone, poor lions so stressed the fuck out!!! This has GOT TO BE ONE OF THE WORST ZOOS IN THE WORLD!!! IVE NEVER SEEN A ZOO WITH JUST males and no females. And then as if the idiot zoo keepers r teasing then they give only one lion a scrappy bone!!!
Disgusting zoo, what are they all doing in there together? Receipe for disaster, enclosure far to small and listen to the idiot family and kids laughing, is this what they call a days 'entertainment' at the expense of these poorr creatures? Just awful.....
They could be Okavango Delta or Masai lions. Their body type and tail tufts as well as their faces match that of Duba plains lions in the Okavango Delta and Serengeti national park Masai lions in the highlands.
@@mouhamed42 It's possible but remember, East African lions, Okavango lions and other Southern African lions are in the same subspecies Panthera Leo Melanochaita, so it really doesn't matter because they're at least the same type of lion. Some people said "Barbary lions" 🙄LOL, that's why I made this post.
@@mouhamed42 Exactly my point. Egyptian lions were often depicted having small manes by the Egyptians, so it shows that not every region in North Africa had big maned lions, but mainly the Maghreb due to the temperate Mediterranean coastal climate and the cold Atlas mountains.
The den is too small and too many males no females. They're extremely aggressive towards one another because they need to mate probably. And a bigger den.
