A very nostalgic pub for me! The first walk in “10 Challenging Walks in the South Chilterns” started there. A pivotal read in my hiking journey! Glad to see it’s still open. Uplifting!
Such a handsome looking pub. Reminiscent of the Brakespear pubs in South Oxfordshire, with their white walls and black woodwork. The Wadworth 6X is a bonus too. Definitely added to my list of pubs to visit. 👏👏👍😀🍺
Went there many times while living in Princes Risborough. Glad it’s still open. Was always a very decent pint of Wadworths 6X there. Near the church is a delightful natural spring with seating and little walkways, perfect place to chill on a hot summer day.
Thanks for this nostalgic (for me) review. I would often cycle past that pub in the ‘90s when I last lived in the UK. I was into mountain biking in those days and the area was great for exploring the Chilterns and as my gateway to the Ridgeway! Happy days but I never stepped foot inside The Lions of Bledlow so a missed opportunity for me! Please keep up the good work! 😅
