LionSteel H1 Natural Micarta M390 Karambit Ring EDC fixed blade: The new H1 and H2 knives, designed by Tommaso Rumici in collaboration with Coltelleria Scintilla, reimagine the karambit as a utility tool, keeping the typical ease of use/handling and speed of the classic karambit with blade styles that are more versatile than the classic hawkbill blade. The H1 and H2 are perfect tools to carry during hiking tours and hunting, even for military purposes as back-up knives, easy to carry on every kind of busy backpack. The designated leather sheath allows whether vertical or horizontal carry for both knives, also on M.O.L.L.E. systems, in various positions and solutions. The blade is made from high-quality M390 stainless steel and the one-piece handle scale comes with Micarta and G10 versions. Specifications Blade Length: 2.95" (75 mm) Overall Length: 7.24" (184 mm) Blade Material: M390 Stainless Steel Blade Thickness: 0.15" (3.8 mm) Blade Finish: Stonewashed Blade Style: Sheepsfoot Handle Material: One-Piece Natural Canvas Micarta Sheath: Black Leather Weight: 3.60 oz. (102 g) Designed By Tomassi Rumici Made in Italy

Heard about this knife on a comment on Chris Tanners channel. This basically a bushbat. I'm shocked. This is a Chris Tanner design.

Amazing value. You're getting an amazing steel, and those 1 piece scales are beautiful. Perfectly finished, and a design that's ready for anything, and a gorgeous sheath. They could charge twice the price, and it would still sell plenty. I can't wait to get mine. I may get both blade shapes

Have you still been using the H1? I have been using 3" folders for EDC but been wanting to try using a fixed blade for EDC. Just recently purchased an Izula but the H1 and H2 caught my eye and curious to see how its been treating you. Comfort is my primary concern.

The extended use ergos on this LionSteel didn't jive with my hands(XL-XXL) , So I traded away. I still prefer the White River Knives Backpacker Pro in knives this size. Thanks for watching
@matthewadler1329
@matthewadler1329 2 года назад
What makes the White River your favorite? Can you articulate it, or is it just that x factor you can't quite put your finger on? Thats the one with removable scales and all the aftermarket options right?
@knifevideochannel4657
@knifevideochannel4657 2 года назад
The White River Backpacker Pro has the removable scales (Caper has permanent ones) with the multi position Kydex sheath. Unbelievable value as it's been sold between $119.00 and $139 in the past. Overall ergonomics, Blade shape, And cutting geometry makes it my favorite in this size fixed blade! Thanks for watching Matthew

Not sure if I want to get this or the Berus. Same steel, but this is a bit bigger with the ring, which I do like, but this is a few bucks more. Any input would help. Thanks for the video
@knifevideochannel4657
@knifevideochannel4657 2 года назад
I didn't buy the Berus because of the size of handle! It's a beautiful knife , But the H1 "spoke" to me . I find it hard to recommend different styles/sizes of blades, We'll all different in what we like and enjoy. Depending on purpose, Both are a good pick Matthew. Thanks for watching

I bought the H1 recently and love it. However the way the loops on the sheath sit on my belt in a left hand draw position stretched out the loop that's closest to the tang. That's not a bad thing, really I want to swap the two so it'll stretch the other one a little too, but the single torq tool isn't enough to remove them because I need to hold the other side while I unscrew it, or else they just spin. I can't tell if it's a T6 or T8 sized, and I can't find it listed. Anyone know what size it is?

The ring on the Lionsteel is stupid unless you have very specific needs. White River Backpacker/Caper ftw (I own three) in the small fixed blade category.

I bought this knife. The ring was the one thing that worried me. Turned out to be a plus. Benefits are a fast draw, keeping your hand in correct position, comfortable to walk around with it, prevents dropping, and extra leverage in certain situations. You can not use the ring and just grip it like normal, but then there's not much for the pinky to hold on to, so it's pretty much a three finger grip.

Its really not fair to even mention an esee when talking about a lion steel with m390. I jave a lot of knives and my esee is far and away the worst edge retention knife ive ever owned and i have a lion steel with m390 and its the best edge retention knife ive ever owned by a mile. The craftsmanship of lionsteel is top knotch while esee is just ok.
