Kudos for the Video clip! Forgive me for the intrusion, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you thought about - Taparton Skin Delight Takeover (should be on google have a look)? It is a good exclusive guide for discovering an easy treatment for Angular Cheilitis without the headache. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my cooworker at last got cool success with it.

can we honestly just take a moment to appreciate this AMAZING channel. this channel really goes into depth about their explanations & back it up & also give their REAL feedback. not just like sponsorships or trending products.
so I googled "dry lips and constipation" and the top result was this article provinceapothecary.ca/blogs/news/understanding-and-improving-your-dry-lips give it a read and you'll notice some um...very obvious similarities. obviously everyone does research on a topic they want to cover but a lot of what they said was not even paraphrased, just word by word taken from the article. and they never mentioned or linked the article as a source which is probably why they didn't even bother to paraphrase.
Madeline Caples I don’t know if this will help since it’s such a late reply, but cortisol (which is released when the body is under stress) can cause eczema flare ups. Certain foods also can also cause these eczema flair ups which are usually the most common allergens when checking labels and stuff but it still is not the best idea to just cut out a certain food so abruptly.
I absolutely love how you ladies bring science into the videos, and still keep the content so easy to understand. As a science geek who loves all things skincare, I can honestly say that your videos are always so refreshing and fun to watch! Love you both!!! EDIT: If I have a question about skincare and a recent skin problem, may I ask you on IG?
a lot of what they said was taken word for word from this article written in 2017 by someone else provinceapothecary.ca/blogs/news/understanding-and-improving-your-dry-lips
Unless you want to go through and examine everything that could be causing it like lip colours, glosses and balms but also things you wouldn’t think about like toothpaste, the sauce on noodles and salad dressing etc, you kind of just have to deal with it 🤷🏻♀️ exfoliate regularly with an AHA, scrub the skin on your lips and lip line regularly, then extract anything that still manages to get congested
I had this and I thought I had herpes 😂 but turns out it was just irritation around the lip area. It was the lip balm I was using and it was my toothpaste. I used a all natural toothpaste all the time, and when I had to switch it because I ran out I noticed I started to get those bumps. So try to change your toothpaste to all natural, I recommend Tom's all natural fluoride free. I dont know what lip balm to recommend, as I am still trying to find one for myself that is non irritating.
What about lip pigmentation Edit : nvm y'all this was probably the most educational video on lips i have ever seen and believe me i am obsessed with lips but you dudes answered everything. Way to go My lip insecurity is my top lip too but seeing you so confident about it makes me feel better 😭😭😭
I'm not trying to be annoying by typing this comment, but this is my advice if you're only using SPF 15 if you are. Its recommended if you use SPF 30 or higher for both your lips and skin to get the full UV light protection. Here's the link www.verywellhealth.com/do-your-lips-need-sunscreen-514392 You don't have to follow my advice but just saying.
actually i have seen a bunch of content that says that petroleum jelly is not the best for chapped lips- it only retains moisture that exists in our lips, but doesn't hydrate them by itself. so its more of a top coat if you are out in harsh whether or the likes.
You could apply vaseline on after washing..or moistening. Its supposed to be the best skin-care. Yes research has shown that recently. Its the best skin-saver. All moisturisers work best on damp skin anyway...nothing unusual about that. Personally i found vaseline working very well on dry skin too.
I think Vaseline is best to put on as a top coat when you've used all of your other lip products for moisturizing. Vaseline keeps the bacteria from the outside out like a protective barrier, but in a way wouldn't that also mean that Vaseline traps the already existing dirt and bacteria on your lips? I think its best used when you've cleaned your lips and then add moisture with another lip product then apply the Vaseline on as a last step in your lip routine step so it keeps everything good in and everything bad out.
try a gentle sugar scrub in the morning! it helps make them look more "alive" by bringing the oxidized blood to the surface. wouldn't suggest doing it every single day (especially if you have sensitive lips) but just make sure to moisturise after :) I find it really helps with the dull look
You can try use a AHA or BHA toner and also concentrate on that area of your lips when you're applying your skincare products, then of course follow with a lip balm at the end :) Hope that helps a little! 💞- fel
Guy or Girl, those lips better be In tip top shape, ALWAYS! am a victim of constant licking at times. Ro and Fel taught me that, *the small things are the things that counts!* ☝️
I have a question: Within the Neutrogena Hydro Boost line, there are products like a body cream, hand cream, face cream and eye cream that all seem to do the same thing. are those products different from each other or are they the same ingredients in a different bottle? They also have a City Shield line, does that actually do anything?
Yes, they have basically the same ingredients, except the one for the eyes has no fragrance. You can go to Skincarisma and there is an option where you can compare different products and see the ingredients
I went through this thing where my lips legit were so chapped and it was so red and it started like chapping outside my lips. Like it kinda looked like I was Miranda Sings and it hurt soooooooo much and was really ugly. Luckily I fixed that and now my lips are finally normal lol
She is right ... Idk how many water I drink my lips are all dry .. lipstick doesn't work at all .. I have to apply evry second If I forget again my dry lips appears. So I think I'll try the sleeping masks and see how it goes .
That used to be me. I remember when I was in elementary school, coming in and kids were pointing out how my lips were bleeding and this happened often. I was born with great lips but as my father passed I took my stress out on my lips but tugging and pulling the skin until I was so numb I couldn't even smile properly. As a child I couldn't have cared less about my lips, I also was constantly licking my lips which made then darker in colour and drier. When I was twelve I promised myself to get it together and stopped this disruptive behaviour of mine. I would highly reccomend the Primera Lip Mask, Sweet Chef Skincare Vitamin E Lip Sleeping Mask, Bite Beauty Agave Lip Balm / Fidia Farmaceutici Trattamento Labbra (another lip balm, available only in Italy), Paula's Choice Lip SPF 50 and lastly Stacked Skincare Hydrating Lip Peel. Vaseline is great for trapping in moisture preventing water loss if you aren't using an overnight lip mask. I had sensitive and sometimes flaky lips and now I no longer dread winters as much! I would also ditch the lip scrubs as major brands like Shisedo etc. have been claiming and research has been shown that they can be damaging to the lips. All of the products I have listed are well made ingredients lists with the most higher quality ingredients you could find in lip products. I would note though, that the Primera Lip Mask does have fragrance but for the price point and ingredients, yes ma'am!
I use cocoa butter Vaseline (in the big tub thing) 24/7 and it intensely moisturizes my lips for cheap but I can't take it everywhere due to its size. So, I bought a little pot of medicated carmex at Walgreens for 1.99 for when I go out or to school and it works great! I use a thick layer of Cocoa Butter Vaseline (or Up And Up 100% pure petrolium jelly for 1.69 at Target) at night and gently scrub it off with a wet towel in the morning and my lips are so moistureized 💜💜
Laneige’s lip sleeping mask is not included? I have been using it for several weeks now. I put it on before sleep and it’s the best! It totally transformed my chapped lips!
You’ve no idea how much I NEEDED this, I’ve always been obsessed with my lips being moisturized and plump but lately they’re so chapped and even bleeding and didn’t know what to do, so thanks for that 💜
Guys, don't use petroleum based lip products for moisture because they don't actually add moisture to your lips. They work as great protection for them though
I'm obessed with your channel! Your videos are the only ones that i'm waiting for everytime! I love them! Can you talk about feet and nail care next time please?
So this is my lip care: 1st Step: Exfoliation I use a sugar scrub I bought and gently exfoliate my lips. I also use a DIY lip scrub by just mixing brown sugar and honey, but the most effective exfoliation method for me is by using a toothbrush with soft bristles. I apply water to it and scrub it onto my lips gently, after that my lips feel soft and lip products apply softly. Note: Before I exfoliate I put a warm steamed towel on top of my lips for smoother exfoliation. Note: Use another toothbrush to exfoliate your lips. By using the same toothbrush for your teeth your lips might get infected. 2nd Step: Lip Balm I specifically use lip balms with natural oils, honey, and shea butter. The most important one is that it has a sun protection. After that I put a reasonable amount of petroleum jelly on top of my lips after I put the lip balm. Extra Steps: Sleeping Masks: I generally use a Laneige sleeping lip mask because it works for me, but I know it doesn’t work for other people so I recommend other products until you find one perfect for your skin. I also use petroleum jelly after I apply the lip masks. Lip Oils: I use these occasionally, but it also helps for a proper hydration throughout the day.
Im surprised the cica plast by la roche posay and the nutric intense riche lipbalm wasn’t in this . These are some of the best lip balms I have ever tried . I even pair them together because the nutric moistures and the cicaplast heals and protects
If you live in Japan or visit Japan, there's a lipbalm called DHC Lip Cream, from a skin care line based on extra virgin olive oil. It's the best I've tried so far, and I've tried a lot, from drugstore lipbalms to organic ones. It's sold everywhere and cheap (¥600). My teenager and I use it during day and before bed. It makes our lips feel soft and healthy, regardless our diet.
Hiii.....this is a very good video and I soooo needed it. I have extremely dry lips that chap and bleed very easily. Just wanted to know if I can apply the sunscreen I use on my face even on my lips? And yeah, most of the products and brands recommend by you are not available where I'm from. But I still follow and watch your videos for the information that you shed light on :)
I actually had to pause the video, sneak through the house when everyone was asleep, go fish out the pouch inside the big bag in which my lip balm freebies were stashed and put one on my dresser! I vow to moisturise the pucker uppers every day! Thank you for the inspiration! Bing bing!
I cant be the only one that literally almost NEVER wears lip balm and ALMOST never has crusty lips but has soft plump lips. And when i wear lip balm my lips all of a sudden get dry and crusty. 💀
As an acupuncturist, I'd just like to note that the Chinese medicine theory Spleen has a lot of functions that also correspond to the pancreas. Just because I know someone is going to be like, "Mehh, the spleen doesn't do digestion!" ^^;;
Fragrance in lip products is a disaster everyone needs to know about. Also flavored products make people lick their lips....making a lip crisis into a disaster.
So grateful for all your videos! So well explained. With images and all. I am really interested to see , the MAKE UP ROUTINE FOR DIFFERENT SKIN TYPES . What products do you use? I have skin like Felicia’s . Thank you so much! And i am so glad that i found your channel TOT
I don’t know if you have it in the US, but in Brazil we have Bepantol, which is lanolin based and enriched with b-pentenol. It’s one of my holy grail products, and I use it all over my face and body, since my skin is so dry 😂 Totally recommend using it under your eyes and on the lips! 💛
I have really dry skin and lips. I have tried soooo many different lip balms Burts bees, Nivea, Vaseline, Sorbelene, Baby lips, Paw paw ointment, Blistex and many others lip balms and creams and none have ever helped my lips. :( I use sorbelene and Blistex now and i put on A LOT and like coat my lips every night but it’s still cracked in the morning and throughout the day. Any advise for me?
If you have angular chelitis try the blistex medicated lip ointment it took about three days for mine to completely clear up, but I recommend to continued to use it after it's cleared up as well
My favorite lip balm is the Lanolips Lano 101 Ointment Multi-Balm because it gives you a glossy finish for hours while feeling super moisturizing. I usually pick it up at ULTA, but I think they stopped carrying it 😭
I put petroleum jelly on my lips. Next day my lips were peeling off. And bare in mind when I put the petroleum jelly on my lips my lips were soft. So I suggest you don’t put petroleum jelly on your lips I don’t know if the same thing applies with Vaseline but pure petroleum jelly is a NO NO. Looks like I’m going back to burts bees.
The Blistex pot repairs my lips best. I read that petroleum is a barrier that locks in hydration, and doesn't hydrate lips itself. Put down the petroleum, people!
people, I would a cent percent recommend the Eau Thermale Avene lip balm with SPF 30! I've been using it for a year now, and honestly, it's the only lip balm I buy! x
Get a lush lip balm!!! It has almost all these things they mentioned!!! Whip stick and the lip service are the best in my opinion but they have about five other good ones so if you are looking for a good one check this out at lush.com or a lush store for about 10 dollars! Hope this was useful
So interesting, thank you! I have suffered from dry, cracked lips and angular chelitis (sp?) all my life. I've tried practically every lip product going. My go to now (for at least the past year) is Homeoplasmine ointment - it looks and feels like Vaseline when you first put it on, but then it goes matte. I haven't had a single crack or peel while I've been using it.
For a cheap overnight lip mask, I love to use the Vaseline Cocoa Butter Petroleum Jelly (like Fel mentioned). Not the tiny container, I find that it tends to be more waxy and just sits on top of my lips, not doing much, but the sizers the get bigger from there - it's thick, but I can tell within a minute that my lips are softening. I put a layer on my lips (enough that when you rub your lips together, you still have plenty), and when I wake up in the morning, I rub my lips together and I can feel the dry flaky parts softened and rubbing off. Sometimes I take another minute to put a little more on for the edges of my lips that dried out, and then rub it all off with a wet washcloth or something, and I have super smooth, soft lips.
