“This isn’t your home it’s where you grow up.” Jesus that line hits hard because leaving a toxic home environment isn’t easy cuz you’re used to it and it’s *home* But your home isn’t always the place you grow up in but where you feel comfortable to be yourself in and the people you choose to surround yourself with
But what destroyed Lip the most was college, seeing that no matter what he did, he didn't come out of the dark. Two teachers took advantage of him, people he trusted, people with potential, who were very selfish and destroyed him. And the university instead of helping the victim (Lip) expelled him. Reality.
@@staying_substantially really? you haven't seen it or what? First there is Professor Helen who sleeps with him, a married woman who takes advantage of him and when things go wrong, abandons him and then there is the alcoholic Professor Hearst, who makes him take charge of him and his work.
definition of wasted potential bro. he was so smart and could’ve done amazing things, but he drank too much and got expelled. it’s so sad because he was amazingly brilliant.
Mine as well @destroyer8386 his story helped me become sober I hope someday I can meet Jeremy and thank him for playing the role as lip. I'll be 7 months sober on June 21st.
The fight is going good 😊 man I'm 10 months sober had to rewatch the show again having personal dilemmas almost drank over the past weekend but went to a meeting it helps I recommend it
I love that finishing touch, great edit! I absolutely loved shameless, it reminds me my childhood only had minor flaws and not terrible traumas. I work harder and enjoy life more because of that show. Jeremy White is a GOAT of my (siblings) generation.
He is my favorite character by far and I really wanted him to get back into college it's so sad he didn't after that I knew his life was pretty fucked up
I think I know why I like Lip the most of all the siblings even when he’s wrong… he fell the farthest he could’ve been great but couldn’t make it. We pick our favorite characters sure but in the end this show is is a about a fucked up shameless family.
Lip was a hypocrite. None of them were saints but he would ridicule and lecture them all (including Fiona) and did the exact same things they all did. I never liked Lip. He was too full of himself and thought he was perfect even though he wasted most of his life being a jackass and being a stubborn hypocrite. 🤷🏼♂️😂
@@luisrtorres513why did you watch this RU-vid video? Just purposely watch things to go teen girl in the comments?? Lol he was the oldest male. He was trying to guide them into not making the same mistakes he did. Being a parent is hard when you're only a couple years older and never exactly had a father figure at all.
This show may be chaotic and pyhchotic whatever you name it, but it thought me to be selfless, to love and always be there for your family no matter what
@@starrlights7006I’m not defending Debbie’s character because I couldn’t stand her but I do agree with this. She never really had a proper example of someone to grow up with. Let alone a motherly figure that taught her morals. Fiona wasn’t horrible to her but the things she did in front of Debbie did not set a good example. Plus Debbie was surrounded by so many people who were basically encouraging her and allowing her to be too open and act way too old for her young age.
