Anvil will release their 20th album, One and Only, on June 28th via AFM Records.
When it comes to the most influential bands in the heavy metal genre, the Canadian group Anvil undoubtedly ranks among the top positions. Hailing from the city of Toronto, featuring Steve "Lips" Kudlow [vocal/guitar], Robb Reiner [drums], and Chris Robertson [bass], this iconic band has carved out an impressive and storied career over the four decades.

We saw Anvil in a small club last month - they put out every bit as much energy as any classic band I've ever seen - Purple, Priest, Alice Cooper, et al, or more modern bands like Jinjer, In This Moment, Nightwish, Corrosion Of Conformity, etc. It was 100% balls to the wall, start to finish, and they were GOOD. You could tell they were giving their all, and they were doing it for us in the audience. The put on the same high level of musicianship as they would if thee had been 20,000 people in the audience. Anyone who says they don't like Anvil has never seen Anvil live.

Their problem is Lips as singer! If they would have brought in a real singer, they would have been a power to deal with!
