We just watched it yesterday. We really didnt understand what was all the fuss about. The film just shows the reality of our sickened society. I am sure there are so many women as depicted in the movie. I am glad such a film has been made. I m thankful that I could not recognise myself with any of the characters. Well made film.

You are right. NO means NO. But laws are the byproduct of societal norms. In India a woman is brought up to be the wife of another man. So marriage is just the transfer of possession of a woman from one man to another. So the husband gets absolute right to have sex with his wife whenever he wants (because he has waited for this since ages) Whatever I have written is not what I support. I am against marital rape. I just wrote what happens in our society.
itz not just our society,in general, women are brought up with the ideology that they r going to be the someones' wife and someones mother... In Suadi and other middle-eastern nations,dere used to be actual trade of women,in exchange for camel and whatnot...but times have changed,and one can't just blame patriarchy for it... Some men ,along with some women,have worked forward to level the playing field,and provide equal opportunity in industry,science,academia for both genders... so with the difference in roles and responsibilities,fundamental rights and stuff,we need to revist these partner roles,marital responsibilites ....the old mindset needs a serious make-over,i agree with u dere....

Great video but I want to correct you about the laws of marrital rape. There are laws against marital rape which are acknowledged by IPC but the marital rape law comes under the domestic violence section.
I am not showing this idotic Bollywood drama but the massage is clear, it want showing women as victims, innocent even she cheated his husband and helpless on the other hand showing man as rapist ,dumb husband, cheater boyfriend, all culprit are man and women are like Devi.
