Liqui-Moly Fuel System Cleaner/Conditioner // Supercheap Auto 

Fussy owners, really? I prefer responsible owners. We know that having a car is a big responsibility than most people think.

I used this and I can honestly say it makes a noticeable difference. Unfortunately my car has direct injection so this only cleans the injectors not the inlet valves as the fuel bypasses the valves and goes directly into the combustion chamber. For under $20 dollars it's cheap insurance once a year to keep your car's fuel system reasonable clean and efficient. Worst case scenario is you wasted $20.

Many fuel system cleaners are mostly methyl benzine. About $4 per litre. Best stuff I've found for intakes and valves etc is Yamaha combustion chamber cleaner or Subaru combustion chamber cleaner.

I had serious idle control valve problems...and I was looking at a huge repair bill. I took a punt and tried Moly fuel system cleaner (a number of cans over six weeks) and I’m a devotee. Sure, a big cost in Moly but nothing to the repair costs I was quoted for my 325000km Lexus. It ain’t snake oil, it definitely works.

Awesome product, definitely made a bug dif on my old car. Feels like the full torque is now available.

use premium fuel and good oil no need to waste your money on stuff like this

High Octane fuel got much more detergents than normal petrol. doesn't it do the same job?

Replace fuel filter first or you'll clean the filter and send the junk to the filter in the injector.This can cause a problem.

Now almost all engines have direct injection, so this product is doing nothing, because injector is not before inlet valves

This video is 6 years old showing port injection which is fine for older cars but new cars mostly have DI (direct injection) so fuel is injected directly into combustion chamber bypassing the intake valves, this video showing intake valves getting sprayed with fuel is port injection almost all newer cars have DI (direct injection) This fuel system cleaner will still work to keep injectors clean whether it port or DI BUT will not clean intake valves at all on DI engines because fuel is no longer being sprayed into intake port as in port injected engines DI engines ALL have carbon buildup on the back of valves which can only be cleaned by removing entire intake manifold and walnut blasting every 50kmi or so...a expensive procedure. This is a good product if you have port injection and it will help keep DI injectors clean but Liquid-Moly has a better product for that application Jectron Fuel Injection Cleaner OR DIJectron

Put shell v power petrol for few 500kms, while engine is cleaned.

9000 kilometers run .. car .. used possible.

Won’t really do any good for any modern vehicles since they are all direct injection now. Only way to clean valves is walnut blasting since the fuel injects right into the combustion chamber before ignition so can’t clean anything.

It's basically all bollocks. Just marketing snake oil. The other example of this is the BP ads that ran recently in Australia how their fuel is like having thousands of piranhas in your tank to clean fuel lines and injectors, well its all BS. Avoid regular short cold engine trips and laboring will do more to avoid carbon buildup.
