Why haven't i came across your mixes and tracks before yesterday??? This is the exact style I've been into for the past 20+ years. Your mixes are fire as i just discovered you yesterday i already listened to 4 of them! Keep up the good work and can't wait for the next one. 🍻 👏
Ah wow, thanks a lot for checking out the mixes and appreciate the comments about the mixes! I'm happy you've found them and seems like we're on the same DnB vibe, I've been listening to this kind of style for 20 years too, love it! Will keep them coming for sure 🍻
Haha, thanks Matt! Enjoy the vibes! Where in Australia are you? I travelled down the east coast from Cairns to Sydney, then to Melbourne, Adelaide and up to the red centre in my 20s, typical POM style lol! Summers can get pretty fierce out there!
I still think there should be a name for this kind of ldnb - 80% of the mixes these days miss that progressive vibe and if you search for it its hard to distinguish
I know what you mean, there are so many niches of dnb but I always thought of liquid dnb as the more melodic side of the genre with its own subset so I stuck with liquid for the title. "Progressive, melodic, intelligent, atmospheric dnb mix" would run out of room on the title 😁 I could put it in the description, either way, I love these style of dnb! Thanks for listening in Johannes 🙌
Hello! did you write a comment on the february 2024 mix i uploaded? i tried replying but your original comment doesn't show anymore so not sure what happened but thanks for listening in to it and glad you enjoyed the Heavyweight remix! i'll upload that one to my channel soon!
@@NickyHavey yes I wrote "Amazing mix again! The WAVDR & BONNIE LEGION remix rocks!" and changed LEGION mix to LEGION remix - weired - looking forward to march already :)
You mean the nCamargo remix of "My Friend" by Groove Armada? The original is lovely but I really dig the remix too! Glad you found it and it reminded you of a forgotten album :)
Nice bro. Still in the first track and it sounds like a track I want in my life for Monday work tomorrow. Subbed and added to my playlist cheers. Just made an amateur mix of metalheadz and what not yesterday if anyone's a metalheadz fan check that out. beatz
Thanks a lot for stopping by and listening in man, welcome aboard! Glad you found this mix and hope it helps you with the commute tomorrow! I'll check your mix too
@@NickyHavey That was really, really good man. That opener is banger. It could really draw in some people to dnb who maybe weren't that interested before. I love your track selection. There's a certain vibe I need to find in a track to love it hey. Whether it's more commercial or obscure is kind of irrelevant. Crankin this again at home now cheers.
@@r4pidra Thanks a lot man! Appreciate the feedback, you've obviously been around the dnb scene for a long time so it's great to meet a kindred spirit! I'm all about the liquid dnb/liquid funk vibes from the early 2000s to present day. This style of dnb is what I'm searching for, soulful liquid dnb - like you say, doesn't matter who makes it, if I like it, it's going in and then the art of finding other tunes to blend/mix in... love it! I'm happy you enjoyed this one :)
@@NickyHavey I'm 38 and have loved it since those days but I think I just love music mainly. Dnb been in my lists thru the years but I never digged like DIGGGED hard to really find some killer tracks like I'm finding now so I kind of never really understood it all. Had a realization watching a metalheadz set it was just like "Dude this all just like one beautiful big long journey that all these awesome people each get to be a part of and then play each others tracks each one a part of that journey." It's a beautiful communal idea that I really kinda didn't realize existed and I never felt while being in bands. Also found a cd I produced using Propellerheads Reason 1 from 2001ish. That was really cool to see what I was doing at that time as a silly teenager and I'm keen to produce some tracks again now.
No they aren't actually, just stock pictures from the video software/pexels but I love natural scenery, hiking, outdoors etc. so good for the soul! I will probably start using travel pictures as I have a lot of them from my various adventures! August and September thumbnails already prepped and will be from my recent trip down to Cornwall, beautiful part of the UK!
@@NickyHavey Look forward to seeing them bro I'm a hard landscape photog lover. Nothing like being alone with your tripod setup waiting somewhere amazing as the sun pops up.
@@r4pidra Thanks man, they're just from my smartphone so will be nowhere near as good as a proper camera set-up that you have! That sounds like a lovely way to spend time and capturing a beautiful sunrise too!
