Actually their biggest hit was "Dance Yourself Dizzy" which hit #2 in the UK...this was a B-side that caught the ear of US DJ's & hit #5 on the US Dance/Disco chart...I discovered this on the Casablanca boxset & loved it...just got the 3CD complete Liquid Gold set from 2023...
Hi. I never saw this video either. It came out when I was very little. I was born in 1966 so when I first heard it I was hooked on her voice. Thank you for sharing.
I am happy crying. My mom used to dance with me around the kitchen, to this song, except she would sing “I’m my Marky’s baby. We both owned the 12” single.
What a beautiful song... It brings me joy and good memories.. 80's the Best ever...
Wow! They use to play this at The Saint in NYC back in '79 or '80. Love Love LOVE this song. Always an uplift and her voice is so unique! Also The Night, the Wine & the Roses was played their a lot too.
OMG..The SAINT! Now that just took me warp speed back to 1979 and my 21st birthday at the Saint. My how time has FLOWN by, as I get ready to turn 65 in March.
The frontwoman here had an intriguing and quite sensational voice which was displayed most prominently on this track. It came bursting out in '78 or '79 and still haunts me and probably others of my generation who were doing discos at the time.
Great song & band...what I'm really happy about is that Liquid Gold was an actual BAND, not an anonymous group of producers with a vocal over the top...just like Pretty Poison in the late 80s...
Consiglio anche di ascoltare altri capolavori disco, quali The night The wine and the roses, Secret love, Could be tonight, Dance yourself Dizzy, Substitute, Mr Groovy., Don't panic. @@ernestofranco5017
I've never heard it before... I swear it.. and what's with the nose job ETC LOL Anyway... liquid gold... reminds me of that police song Pishing in a bottle!!! 😉 WE ARE HERE!!!
Wow her voice was so screechy. When you listen back now that seemed to be the style back then of so many female singers and girl groups, Nolan's were the same. It's awful.
