I can’t find this song anywhere else. I catch myself coming back to RU-vid mid playlist on another app just to listen to this. I thought it was a recent underground band since I can’t find them. Boy was I wrong haha
I simply can't unhear "How I wish you were here" and "Pigs (Three Different Ones)" both from Pink Floyd. I'm not complaining, though, both songs are fantastic and this song incorporates both nicely and adds a lot of enjoyable elements to the mix. So nicely done, Liquid Visions.
I'm aware that every song is unique, and I'm not saying it's a bad thing. I was just commenting on how this song reminds me and evokes feelings of another song that I enjoy greatly.
You aren't crazy... absolutely sounded like Wish You Were Here. And what's more the opening verse had me expecting to hear "Breathe..breathe in the air" 🤷🏽♂️
There is this old catchphrase used at engineering about how your own limitations limits your options; "When your only tool is a hammer, everything looks like a nail." This could be used too for music; "When you only have listened to a handful of bands, everything sounds like Pink Floyd."
+vsirius77 in fact, that song is a cover, the original is a folk-death metal song composed by johnny cash and robert johnson in 1893 featuring friederick nietzsche on bass
So many folks here talking about the intro riff's similarity with 'Wish you were here'. So what? This version's cool in its own way. There's even traces of 'Any color you like' in the solo section - the one very few here are talking about! These are some superb, mindblowing solos, with the effects pedal used damn well!! And the playing style and tone is so like Hendrix while the passages have Floydian elements. These guys are really, really good. I can't listen to this song enough and be blown away every time. Stoner rock rules!
man, what is up with these comments. thank god i'm not a pink floyd fanatic, that way i can enjoy this song without any little voice in my head saying shit like it sounds like this or it sounds like that. it sounds awesome.
I like Pink Floyd, and I consider them as one of the best band ever...Nevertheless I don´t care if this song sounds like them or not, becaus this is realy hiqh quality stuff. I´m so glad I accidentaly came across this song...AWESOME!
I remember it was 2011 when I first time heard this song, suddenly I used to listen it very often in the mornings on my way to high school dreaming of my future life, having illusions. Now after eight years Im back, listening this song right now and fuck man, this reality beats me, fucking nostalgia. Life sucks and it was not meant to be. But we move on. Love this track forever.
I feel you, this happens to me to, with different songs but its gives me a flashback and that feeling of a moment, like a time machine. I had crazy youth.
One the best songs I've ever listen to! RU-vid over the last decade has made me love Stoner/Doom/Heavy Psych so much! Another treasure out there is Vidage, Seer (Witch), Moons of Neptune, Trip Hazard and any Earthless song to be honest (as many, many others such Samsara Blues Experiment etc)
Fair, but how you play the chord is significant. Tempo, rhythm, arpeggiation, effects etc. play a big part in your sound. Plenty of bands play the same chords without feeling anywhere distinctly like one another. This is clearly deeply rooted in Floyd, possibly guilty of being a little too rooted in it at some points.
I am a huge Pink Floyd fan and yes this sounds like Wish You Were Here. Yes it sounds like Have A Cigar. Yes it's a tribute to Pink Floyd, one of the greatest bands that ever graced the stage. It also has some undertones of The Blind Light Show by Triumph and Moon Child. THAT IS WHAT MAKES THIS SONG SO GOOD!!!
the zone out that takes place from <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="150">2:30</a> onwards is just a work of art... yeah the opening chord is played with the same effect as wish you were here... all great rock and roll is derived from something....this is a great song...
Interesting things happen when a band puts out a song that has similar elements to other songs. First, the fans of the song it sounds most familiar, in this case (and only the opening notes really), Wish You Were Here, tend to trash it because it somehow threatens them. There are many influences present in this tune. How could there not be? There is no music put out today that doesn't borrow from something else. The key is whether the band in question does what they do with passion, talent, and a will to create something cool. That said, I feel - "feel" being a very important word here - Liquids Visions takes all their influences and blends them into a damn awesome bit of music.
+Eric Kruse There's a different between borrowing or being influenced by something, and ripping off the riff and just change 2 notes in it.. That's called lack of creativity.
By that reasoning, every song ever written with the standard four chords used in much rock music is a blatant example of being uncreative. Half, if not all, of Led Zepplin's catalogue would have to be dismissed as ripped off rubbish because they "stole" so much from the blues.
Music is a subjective thing. It goes back to my original point about the passion or 'feel' in the music. I like a bar band playing covers if they have their hearts in it. That's really all I was trying to say.
For those saying this sounds like floyd well I think that is a great compliment. This is an absolute masterpiece. It is very original and very floyd like. And this isn't capturing the commercialized radio floyd. This is the amazing kind of floyd outta his world kind of league of jam. I love how Floyd was known for choosing a single note and making a whole song around it and this does this well. Glad I just stumbled across this band. Been recommending them to people.
Im a huge pink floyd fan, I preach to people that listening to their albums front to back is nothing short of a religious experience. That being said, this song is better than Wish You Were Here. I dont care it shares the same chord on a 12 string guitar. Its an entirely different song and vibe.
I’m grateful that these kids nowadays are obviously inspired by the same music that stirred our souls so long ago. Slightly similar riffs?…cool by me, man. Keep it up, boys!!
The first time you hear this is like the first time you smoke.... you don't know quite what to expect, it's all a sweet flowing sensation, then the guitar takes hold, you feel the rush and it all makes sense .. .. .. . .
Been a week and I cant get enough. <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="140">2:20</a> to <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="540">9:00</a> is perfection. That guitar solo near the end of this time is amazing. I can put this span of the song on repeat and did at work last night with earbuds in. Wow, work flew by........
Driving all alone, late at night, Feeling almost brown, taking flight Heading, heading, for the light Running, running, from the fight God you got to have me, when the sun lights You just have to give me, the morning rain When the walls are dancing 'round my room When the floor is moving in my gloom Heading, heading, for the light Running, running, from the fight Smashing my old clock on the wall Avoing the flock, aim the ball Heading, heading for the light, Running, running from the fight God you got to have me, when the sun lights You just have to give me, the morning rain
one of the greatest psychedelic song ever.... don't need to be known or famous to make greatness..... and love how they make their tune by using their influences yet being orginal
Superfluous discussion! The song is amazing. I close my eyes and see myself sitting on my balkony with nice rolled paper in my hand, listening to this song.
Music in theory is a mathematical equation. This is a positive equation of notes and numbers. But it is the feelings put into every note and note placement that makes a song great! This fits that description. Sit back, close your eyes and let it take you away…
I hear Pink Floyd but I'm reminded of Robin Trower. Killer use of the wah ! Insane solos. Epic. Killer guitarist ! Again like Robin Trower. A heavy duty dose of amazing guitar. This was a jaw dropper.
I'm Hypnotized by this song - great name n song for a Vape shop <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="410">6:50</a> climax at <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="522">8:42</a>
It took me so long to find this song. All the comments about how it sounds like "wish you were here" made it so much easier when I had a memo-relapse and remembered the name.

Isn't it amazing how, based on the first 4 notes, the mind can identify a particular song out of the many thousands we've heard in our lives? All comments but one in this video are sayiing the same thing--the mind is more elastic and resourceful than we give it credit for. So much for us hippies "burning up our brain cells". Somebody pass the bong now....
this band STOLE dozens of PF melodies, you Repugnican Trumpster. SOME OF US HATE THIEVES, CHEATERS, LIARS, PLAGIARISTS, and COPYCATS. But most do not. That's why all our politicians are ALSO crooks and liars and thieves. WE GET IT: you don't have any integrity at all.
@@nox4298 COOL DEFLECTION, BRO. (you even plagiarize how you Change The Subject Like A Coward!) (you should go into politics -- u deflect with such skill!)
@@bongisland2762 Instead of assuming the whole world has the same (presumably superior) knowledge as you, how about you use this as an opportunity to educate and actually win people over to your side? You say this band has plagiarised many Pink Floyd melodies, so please list them for the benefit of others.
@@enjoiandrew69 just because you are ignorant, does not mean I'm full of shit. There are literally DOZENS of PF lifts on this record, you lazy thinker.
It's because it's a twelve-string guitar, just like in Wish you were here. Actually, it's similar to the first riff of Tribute, by Tenacious D (except that Liquid Visions had it in 2002,while TD had it later).
Indeed. But I want to add something you know if that caught your attention too. It starts with major notes (G, D, C etc as like in Wish you...) but the way these guys broke free into a harmonic minor scale is awe-inspiring. Isn´t that like mindblowing
Morning Rain by Liquid Visions Driving all alone, late at night, Feeling almost grown, taking flight Heading, heading, for the light Running, running, from the fight God you got to have me, when the sun lights You just have to give me, the morning rain When the walls are dancing 'round my room When the floor is moving in my gloom Heading, heading, for the light Running, running, from the fight Smashing my old clock on the wall Avoing the flock, aim the ball Heading, heading for the light, Running, running from the fight God you got to have me, when the sun lights You just have to give me, the morning rain
to me sounds like like a very great tribute to pink Floyd sound not only the key, the structure of the song has very notorious similitudes. great sound liquid visions
