Game 2. They ban sumail's signature heroes storm and alche and liquid still lost. That hug after the game shows so much respect from both team. If eg wins over lgd, curse of TI will be over. If eg wins against og. My boi artur's curse will be lifted. 2 curse at the same time will vanish. But if LGD defeats eg and og. The ti and rtz curse continues.
its all about draft,we all know,that for tier 1 team match,the key is the "playmaker" which is someone like "gh,jerax,Dj,fy,kaka,rodjer,yapzor" doesnt matter what kind of new meta will come,this player have to get a hero that can make a "play" for his team.when gh have hero like earth spirit,look at what happen to secret,same thing as crit with dark willow here,he literally carrying his team alone in early game.sadly dj cant carry EE lol
With 6 bans each team, it is actually quite easy to ensure the win with spectre. Remember the 3rd game EG vs OG? Notail just banned all the hero that can crush spectre early. And there aren't many hero can win a 6-slotted spectre in a 5v5

Minh Đức Phạm I mean they had the Ench which was the unfavorable matchup early game and were controlling it to an extent, but Ana was farming SUPER well that game, no matter how far behind N0tail and everyone else got. In fact, even Topson was farming well for how much he was getting farmed by Sumail. It was that and the combination of rtz being shut down early and taking it pretty easy towards the later stages that lost EG that game.
the draft was the main aspect of how liquid lost the game regarding skilled players are there, nature prophet was inconsistent on being support or playing role 3 therefore hes unable to split push and venge itself was not the best option since hes only can focus and disable one hero only therefore liquid cant even initiate although they have brew split that wont do enough damage.
21:46 this scene shows that even way back TI8 miracle / team liquid is always looking down on matumbaman , just look at matumbaman at 21:47 , he is looking at miracle and kuroky's face showing that he is having anxiety on how he is being viewed by his teammates , its as if he knows that he fucked up big time.

Do Phuong i remember one of the reasons why VP kicked Lil is because he spammed Dark Willow a lot in pubs instead of practising trendy pos 4 heroes like Earth Spirit, Tusk, Naga etc. Well look what Dark Willow can bring you lol

That tournament ( Summit 9 ) is really crucial in this TI. EG and VGJ.Storm really came prepared thus produced great results. For me, you really can't go a month break before TI, it just makes teams go "cool-off".

I didn't think it was possible honestly for EG to break Liquid, but by god they did it in a 2-0 fashion. They have a real shot to win this thing! I think they beat LGD tomorrow and faceoff against OG in the finals. what a ride though. From beating Secret, to VP, to Liquid, what a ride.

There is stats too that no one claims the aegis for the second time as player. for this Semifinal, there are 8 candidate: Sumail, s4, Puppey, ant the whole team of liquid.
You do know that even in champions league ucl (football) it took almost almost 90 years give or take for a team to win back to back champions league. So I think this is good not winning back to back shows that the game is unpredictable and not always dominated
