I'm glad I'm not the only one who looks at a tree and can't remember what work they did on it last year. Lol. I think you made the right choice not to go with a cascade. I think Liquidambar are strong upright growers so you would be fighting it's nature the whole time. Look forward to further developments Cheers Sid
