Had anybody ever boiled a kettle and let the stean fron it cover the glass on a window after squeegeing it you can see every move the squeegee has made no matter wha rubber channel or handle you use every squeegee leaves trace lines you just dont notice them sometimes in direct low sun you can also notice them so the way bob does minimum moves is definitely the best. Minimum moves zero detailing is the way forward

Where ever your squeegee travels will leave a trail. Most of the time it is invisible until dust or moisture particles highlight it. Doesn't matter what squeegee brand you use.

Hey my friend it’s been awhile. I hope you and your family are doing well I remember you saying you didn’t really like the area you were in a while back. Also the liquidator definitely is a game changer. I haven’t used it much on commercial glass especially where I’m from it’s all types of sticky glass, broken seals, and it being really hot doesn’t make it better so I will have to experiment more but I will say even with using brass channels and others it sticks regardless. The paper clips and the Moerman rubber makes it very good and glides smoothly. I need more practice on the pole with the dr angle arm just got it today. Also can you make a video on how you stitched your fliq pad with the pot scrubbers. Be blessed!

Thanks for asking about my family and I. We are blessed and doing well. Every day, is a day you can learn and improve on last time. Doesn't matter what level you are at, there are things that can be refined and made better. Tools, techniques, ideas etc. People here are often run down and angry a lot of the time due to lack of money and bad health. Often worse when the days are short, dark and miserable. I will do a vid on the Fliq pad for sure

I’m happy y’all are doing alright I ran into some health problems myself. I got a rare disease from a mosquito at my job last year. It’s been going on for over a year now and my job laid me off when I asked for FMLA because of the situation and canceled my health insurance it’s an evil world we live in sadly. It has been hard and discouraging but Jesus has been with me and my window cleaning business has grown! Also thank you for saying you were going to make a video on how to stitch the fliq pad with the pot scrubbers.

@@Jbsmuv95 Sorry to read that about your illness. I was sick with flu when I was 19. It took around 9 months to fully recover. The saying whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger is a myth. I was put right back for a long time having the flu for around 3 weeks. I struggled to walk upstairs at the time. Was in my prime and was weaker than an old man. Knowing the Lord, well that's the most important thing anyone can do

iteresting will be see on directly sunlight how its work, for me this squeege is good but not perfect because on hot day ls leaving a small lines i change a lots of rubbers different angles and still same results. i dont have a lot time practise and lots of money on new rubbers. so i choosing s plus with good cut angle rubber and its amazing for me. but nice video Bob as always!🙂

If that is working better for you then stick to that. Remember, there usually is always a better way,. To get that better way requires practice patience and refinement.

That's cool. I gotta couple S plus channels but for me they tend to drag a bunch in comparison to even average channels. I recently had a job where I was getting a whole bunch of small lines with liquidator meets morning sun. I dunno, sometimes it's a shot in the dark regarding rubber is the main thing I've noticed. I'm talking horrid streaks everywhere and this NEVER happens. Could be way the rubber is stored, etc. It's the most infuriating thing about window cleaning for sure. Had it happen with all types of channels, it definitely takes time to figure out WHY anything goes wrong or one thing is better than the other. If the S plus is your goto then cool, still better than plain channels. Again, maybe my negative experiences were rubber related but I just don't know. I slide back to the liquidator everytime personally. Cheers.
@stevai6732
@stevai6732 День назад
Also with S channels you gotta come in at corners in a particular flat horizontal way to get corners and that I don't like. How do you cut yours?
@polznbladz3242

@@stevai6732 I think you summed it up. Rubber can be the most infuriating thing and other times it's the best thing if it move, slides eforrtlessly
@raimondasvaranavicius9445
@raimondasvaranavicius9445 День назад
@@stevai6732 I simply cut the rubber so that it almost doesn't slide out, I put unger green clips, I use ettore master rubber or moerman plica, because the sliding is better than the others, I also pour the fairy directly on the soap dispenser to get better sliding and control of the liquid, I put the liquid near the corner so that the liquid does not touch the frame so that I don't have to dry it, I use one small towel at an angle during the day for wiping

For this video I do disagree with you because adaptability far outweighs precision in my opinion and in my company. I can use the liquidator but I give staff a excelerator 2.0 with Unger S plus channel and the adaptability they have with it being able to change angle, fan on a pole, do deep ledges, this list goes on. Our work is restaurants, retail and commercial so the zero detail does not factor in as much. I can fully understand on domestic I would probably pick the precision over the adaptability. I think you just got to factor in what work you are doing but for me I have found the Unger s plus to leave very little detail on commercial windows and staff can use them straight away.
@polznbladz3242
@polznbladz3242 День назад
You might be right about commercial work and using the pole. Your no 1 issue is Mitch, you do things how you want to do them. Unfortunately it isn't fantastic what you do. Your soap is too runny, you don''t do what I tell everyone to do, Your foundation isnt firm, it's loose and frothy. You have a love hate relationship with the Liquidator. Your way is like every other way. It lacks big time. Firm foundation No 1, precision no 2. Work on that and your adaptability can run in straight afterwards. Your way might work for you but it's a million and 1 miles away from how I work
@polznbladz3242

If I was wrong with what I said, you'd be working quicker, smarter and more fluidly using a Liquidator. You hardly use a Liquidator and you are relying on wasteful Wagtail up and down useless techniques in your vids. It might look cool to the untrained eye, but it's useless. If I did what you did, I'd be going backwards wouldn't I? If you did what I did, which is none of that, you'd be going forwards without using Unger channels, getting more precise work done in much less time. What it ultimately comes down to is you do things how you want to do it. You add soap in the water, so the end results is how you end up working. Longer, harder, slower getting less results. Every... single... time. You can't change that until you change the way you do things with your soap and water. That's the best advice anyone will give you regarding your squeegee practice. It's like it or lump it scenario

@@polznbladz3242first of all I like any criticism I’m not sure what videos you have seen but I can work exactly like you do with the dr angle with soap added to the applicator. I do add soap to bucket and the pad in the videos it comes across as watery as I always dunk the applicator in the water so I can soap multiple panes at once. I think the technique is great with Unger channels with the liquidator I would take the edges out first then fan the middle. The videos I post are 1% of work I do in that week. And some of them are pre recorded from weeks ago. I do use the liquidator just not in the videos. The videos are really not true reflection on what I do in real life. I clean hundreds and hundreds of windows a week across the country. I chose to stop using the liquidator all the time as i burned through rubber very fast and I don’t cut the rubber or I would use ettore master rubber in it and it would probably last allot longer I’m really not the biggest fan of moerman rubber but I have never got on with the liquidator channel with rubber that isn’t cut to shape. The comment wasn’t a dig at the channel as I used the channel for over 2 years daily with no issues. but we have always added soap to the applicator you pretty much have to when cleaning restaurants/Drive Thrus and doing internal work so you don’t slop everywhere.

@@mitchwilcock What you said there sounds very similar to certain popular window cleaner. He shows stuff on his videos but in real life he is another level window cleaner far beyond anyone else. The trait of an ego window cleaner is lies, denial and excuses. Anyone can be better and more informed than I am. You can only do that by not doing what everyone else does. Your opinions will become facts if you know what you are talking about instead of think you know

HAHA "Ultimate Squeegee" is such a dirty buzzword by salesman (you know who and what business primarily) are the ones pitching this. Sad. By the way, so a comment I made about the snapper handle well I never had it. I have the one you show here apparently, I just got names mixed up. Pretty easy to straighten out with vise grip?

@@polznbladz3242 Probably! Hey I have my own version of that in my personal life and no one likes him because he is fake. Everything is a showoff. Then again, if you have the money and clout, anything goes to your sick benefit but that's a bunch of stuff we don't have to worry about ;). We do us. Forget the noise. Thank God, I look forward to the bend. The 40 degree angle is just too much and I love that handle. Excelerator and the basic handle are my faves. Moerman pulls through more times than not. Gonna try out the mop swivel tbar coming in soon from my last bulk purchase. I really like my unger swivel tbar a lot but the lack of divets for water retention is really bugging me even on colder days.
