THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS WORKFLOW REGARDING LIQUIFY AT THE END. After using Liquify and Lightening Teeth, I discovered there is a new WORKFLOW for Photoshop as no additional changes could be made. Adobe Tech found no solution after looking at the file. I do minor changes in Lightroom, and move over to Photoshop, but want to make changes with layers, masks, etc. the right way the first time around. NEW VIDEO NEEDED! You are the god of Photoshop!!! This lesson raises the question of *generally* "What is a good workflow?" For example a common task in my job is taking product shots (framed paintings/artwork/textile samples) taken in a wide range of circumstances and lighting conditions, to give a common accurate appearance: Straightening, Lens correcting to square up rectangular objects, deep etching to a transparent background, fixing contrast, color correcting, reducing grain in lower light images, producing a range of resolutions, sharpening and systematically naming and tagging the image. Is this the optimal order and is there a better method to get this done? eg An adjustable action that lets me tweak the basic steps to speed up the process?

Why not create a new file importing the old one as a linked smart object? Fewer update steps if automatic updating isn't working for some reason, no steps required if it is.

Couldn't you just convert the whole psd into a liquified smart object and reopen it in another tab so everything is changed dynamically and you don't have to flatten & copy the smart filters ?
