My name is Monty Lalwani; I'm the owner of Ocean Wine & Spirits. We have three locations, all in Fort Lauderdale. One in Las Olas, one in Wilton Manors, and one right on Fort Lauderdale Beach. We saw the issues with using a regular register. Inventory, it's never on point. So that's why we wanted to do it right from day one. I was talking to my merchant guy about POS, so I tried different ones with the new stores and I wanted to come back and that's when I found perfect POS and now all the stores are on Cash Register Express. So, primary focus on anything is customers and this fits into that perfectly because we try to implement these systems to help our customers even faster. Check them out faster, answer their questions faster, and sometimes, we get customers who come in and they say, "Hey, do you have 50 bottles of this particular one?" We could count everywhere that we have it, but if this is being used properly, we just scan it and say, "No ma'am, I have 48" or "Yes ma'am, I have 51; I can do it." If you have like parents that are 60 and they've never had a cell phone before, and they want a cell phone, you always buy them an Apple, right? But you buy them an Apple because it's so easy to use, it's like dummy-proof, right? So, in our stores, we have ages from all over and this just makes life easy. The back portal works great, getting your numbers from there, looking at inventory, doing setup in the back - it's great. And as an owner, it's tough to come to your locations because you're being dragged
in every way possible. The real reason I made the move was because I was looking to find a company that I could work with but I could do the bulk work, the meat and the potatoes, from my office when I'm alone at 12 o'clock at night. Back office? Amazing. I drink bourbon. I used to be a scotch drinker, but bourbon completely changed that. So if I'm going to a function and there's no bourbon, I'm just drinking water.
