Great video as always Kate! I completely agree about this collection being more wearable (and better suited to me) than the first. I bought Diana last time and really regretted it so I gave it away. I bought Anais after trying it on at the pop up. That night Lisa's video on the eyeshadows came out and had me wanting Zora and Emily, so I went back the next day and tried those, but decided I was happy with just Anais. It's such a subtle, unique colour and works so well with my blue/grey/green eyes. The others are nice too (Emily is SO every day wearable) but as a make up minimalist I'd rather just have the one that's most intriguing to me. BTW, a reliable source at the pop up hinted that Lisa has lots of new products coming up 🤗
Thank you! That’s great that you found the one that you love the most, I can imagine Anais being absolutely stunning with your eye colour! Ooh, exciting news 🤩 I can’t wait to find out what she has in store for us next! 🥰
Aren't they all just so gorgeous!! I've initially just ordered Emily and Iris but went back for Zora & Daphne today after stalking the website for Zora to come back in stock. Iris blew me away! It's my favorite so far.
Thank you so much for being thorough and for showing us comparisons. Every time I watch your videos on new releases, I know exactly which ones I want to pick up. So so helpful.
Thanks for the demos, they all look great on you! So helpful to see these in natural light. I agree with you that this collection has better shades compared to her first collection - I only have Anjelica and Bianca from the first release. The black isn’t for me and the other shades are too yellow/orange for my tastes. I’m wearing Emily today in the office and it’s a really nice, easy color to wear. I got all of the new shades except for Maya and Daphne, but I’m so happy with the couple I’ve tried that I think I’m going back for the last two. I’ve had Emily on for 7-8 hours and it still looks perfect on my oily, hooded eyelids. EDIT: Iris is fun. I paired it with Bianca yesterday similar to what you described for Emily/Zora (Bianca on the lid, Iris on the outer part of the lid). Bianca barely looked like anything next to Iris, though…
It’s so interesting because I saw another video and Zora look so good on them. But with you, I think Daphne and Maya looked so much better. They just made your eyes and skin light up. It’s probably because you lean warm and you have some brightness and those shadows lean warm and light too.
I was very torn between Emily and Anais and really wanted to see an in-depth comparison, so thank you so much for this!!! May need to get both though...
Thank you for this comparison video!!! I was hoping you would, as I was torn between a few of the shades and in the fence about which to buy. You truly have the best videos!!! I appreciate you! The Daphne one I’m most excited about and I also like Maya and Emily from the new collection :)
This video was really helpful! I could also not make difference between Anais and Daphne on the website so thank you for showing the differences. P.S. Daphne looks so gorgeous on you!
Thank you for watching!! I’m so glad to hear that you love them, Very interesting to hear about Anais vs. Daphne - I was concerned they would be too similar as well, but for me I find them quite different - I guess it will just depend on the individual! 🥰 🥰
I'm waiting for my delivery in Australia. I ordered Anais & Emily plus Anjelica & Bianca from previous colours. Can't wait to try the formula as I love 1 n done eyeshadows. I'm excited after watching your review.
Thanks for the swatches. I've worn the Armani Liquid eye shadows for years, and I find they play well with powdered shadows. But I apply one coat of the liquid first, let it dry down, almost like a primer, then use powder over it for definition. Nice video. Emily and Anais are so wearable! 💚
Hi Kate ✨, you always make the best demos and I love your helpful explainations ! Daphne is so beautiful on you 😍. I got it too and I love it ! Anaïs looks more neutral and muted on me than I anticipated.
Chartreuse is also one of my favorite colors! Thanks for swatching out all the shadows from this collection and the first release. What polish is on your nails? It's very pretty!
So helpful, thank you! I picked up a few from her first release and was shocked at how much I loved them and how often I use them. I really can't get them all, so your swatches and comparisons really helped me narrow it down to something more reasonable for one human! Have a great week!
I picked up Daphne and Anais as they stood out to me the most. I was tempted by Zora and Emily, but I feel like I can make that look 100 times with my existing collection so wanted to stick to the things that were a bit different. I love green shadows and these don't disappoint. I did also notice that Daphne was a bit chunky, but this had no impact when sheering it out. I wanted to also add on pairing these with powder shadows - I prefer to top them with powder shades so the LE is the base rather than the other way around and had no problems deepening the outer corner once it had dried down this way. So, it seems that they are very versatile to how you want to use them. 😊
Daphne looks so good on you. You would be a perfect model for Lisa with this shade. I like the shade in your fair skin tone. I am pale as well, but am super cool. However, I don't feel that Daphne or Anais would suit me at all. I do not like light greens and golds on my skin. They just wash me out. Glad those tones look amazing on you.
Thanks Kate, I was looking forward to your review and now I which colours to order. The Liquid Lurex shadows looked great on you and so did Lisa’s previous lipsticks releases.
Hi Kate, now I realize I had to wait until your video was up before I placed my ( panic) order. Than I probably picked Anais over Emily. Daphne looks stunning on you! Love it with Zora as a liner. ( Zora looks like one I would like to, but maby I get Senso from armani eye tints instead, it looks similar, and I love the formula a tiny bit better)
So happy to see your review, I was eagerly waiting for it! All the shades look beautiful on you. I also loved this new release more and really loved that she named them after female writers, for now, I only got Zora, Maya & Emily, I must admit though that I regret not getting Anais or Daphne, I thought Daphne was similar to a Violette_FR eyeshadow I have (Scarabée d'Or), but now I think they're not that similar. Hope I can get these other two shades soon because they really are beautiful. Thank you as always for sharing, also loved seeing your cute pup in the background. Hope you're well!💖
Aw thanks for watching, Natalia! Great choices (always a hard decision when it comes to Lisa’s beautiful colours!). Xander 🐕 says hello! Hope you’re well too 🥰 🥰 🥰
Yesss! I've been waiting for this video before placing my order ♡ I'm thinking of getting Zora & Anais! Would also like to pick up a lip gloss, but am torn between Cinnabar & Beauty. The latter probably being a tad more wearable... Urgh, the choices 😅
Chartreuse looks beautiful but I have a shirt and a powder makeup in those shades and it looks horrendous on me. I have lt med to med season depending Olive undertones. Very cool greens look fantastic though. Like the Sydney Grace Scrooge if you’re familiar with that. I still want them all.
Hi! I find the 2 formulas pretty different - the initial textures are very different, with CT being super soft, creamy, and emollient, and LE being more of a thick liquid feel and not really emollient. Both blend easily though, and the LE is more sparkly (though tiny sparkles) 🥰 🥰
I know you don't like the Chanel liquid shadows but I do. However, I only have the light ones, so they serve the purpose as a base for a powder shadow application for me. Trying Lisa's formula for the first time, I do feel like the Liquid Lurex have more coloir impact and shine.
Funny you should mention the Chanel shadows - I was just swatching one of mine the other day (a light shade) and thought I should try it out again. Great to hear your thoughts, thanks Sarah! 🥰 🥰
How funny. I got Iris but I didn’t get Maya. The only one I’ve tried so far is Zora. I can’t see myself reaching for Iris a lot but it looked so fun I had to have it.
I have Emily and I don't see any pink in it. On me it is certainly neutral. Color-wise, it's kind of close to the CT cream shadow Oyster Pearl but has more life to it and lasts a lot longer. The formula is superior.
These are so gorgeous, Kate! Thank you for showing them to us! I picked up Anjelica in the restock, and I’m having the clumpy issue you mentioned. I tried shaking it, but it’s not helping. I’m also having some fallout. Any advice? Thank you ☺️
Aren’t they beautiful?! Oh no, I’m sorry to hear that… I think my best advice would be to contact her customer service - they might have some more tips! 🥰 🥰
Kate I am sure you already tried Emily and Zora together. Someone from Lisa's team answered my question on IG when I asked which shade should pair with Zora. They told me Emily or Bianca. So your idea was right.
@@readergirl100 Yes they do, but more finely milled and so they look less sparkly than Bianca. But even if these are not really sparkly eyeshadow (like Pat McGrath special shades), they reflect the light and give a beautiful elegant shiny glossy lid. I love it! Maybe you should get just one to test the formula and not spend money on several in case you don't like it ;) Let me know if you end up getting one 😘
