I understand why this was a very short game, but these characters would be amazing to make a wishless demo-esque game for. These are awful people, they're lovelies for a reason. There's so much you can do with the writing. I love Sonny. He reminds me of children born into cults, but if he grew up, he would be an absolute monster.
It would be interesting if there were 3 different routes based on who gets killed with the Shotgun. Probably the same ending, but slightly different second half of the story.
Yee, likely everyone dies at some point, not gunna lie, but I'd say that the moment someone goes down to the cellar, they are guaranteed to be safe while the other two have a 50/50 chance of being the one killed off
Odd aspect of it to praise, but I like how the gun-damage is played straight here. Kinda wish there was a LISA fangame with a proper ammo system, at least for bullets. Make it incredibly high damage, but costly/hard to find. Plus it'd make missed attacks that much more frustrating.
This is one of the few lisa games where the main character is straight up a dick, and I love that The world of LISA is supposed to be filled with unforgivable monster, so it would only make sense to play as one I believe the only other fangame to do "MC is no better than other people" is Bashful... and Bashful's Bashful, so...
It was kind of a wake up call to me since I was so used to pointless, timeless, vegaful and hopeful content with their goofy and heartwarming moments that I forgot the characters lived in a woman-less world where every man has gone crazy
What a lovely short story! Makes you wonder if they would've been better off dying with Hart and the rest. One detail I noticed - Tristan barely says a word against Milo until Sonny is dead, but as soon as Milo dies he shits on Sonny's memory. He never gave a damn about the boy - he wanted out as soon as Milo proved how dangerous he was, and goaded Milo to get Cemal on his side. There is absolutely no way he didn't view Cemal as "dead weight," too.
I’m glad this game exists. Most of the popular Lisa fan games seem a little too “goofy” or “light hearted” for me most of the time. a fan game where you play as a very small group of a bunch of animals in a “sea full of dipshits” is such a breath of fresh air.
Wow. you know I’ve always thought Lisa fan games weren’t brutal and evil enough but this scratches that. For what Lisa is, it should be reminiscent of a horrible, Cormac McCarthy-like world. What a masterpiece in that regard.
Fuck, man, that was epic. To be honest, I kind of forgot that Olathe and most of people in it has turned into animals (unlike Alex from Pointless, for example). Making a whole little fan-game focused on a violent part of daily life in Olathe was an amazing idea. Milo’s death, by the way, and the scene before it was so fecking brutal on an animal level, and hopeless, just like Milo himself. He had it coming tho. I get the feeling that TraitorDuo wouldn’t get far away though, even if that brother’s brother didn’t exist. I dunno, both of them acted very untrustworthy of each other (trying to camp in a truck, waiting for another one to go away in the forest; slowly following behind (with that creepy smile)..) I was just waiting for one of them to stab another in the back. Great fangame, even if it’s short. Scenes, ost, story, backgrounds and so on - a freaking masterpiece, well done indeed!
the mod uses music from Patricia Taxxon as seen in the credits and her music is up in RU-vid, maybe with enough digging you'll uncover the original track as well and you should do that! there's a reason why Summoning Salt uses one of her music on their videos, it rocks
Once again we see an example of a fangame that takes the general format of Lisa the Painful and builds upon it in every single way. Great story telling, better visuals, and extremely well fleshed out characters despite the short amount of time we were given. The scene where Milo's dream sequence cuts to Tristan and Cemal killing him made my jaw drop. Also holy shit a fanon Turkish lisa character... and he's a monster.
my only gripe is that the bar battle music makes me think of "killing random villagers speedrun WR:12:26" and im expecting to hear summoning salt voice at any second.
tengo que admitir esto es bastante refrescante en cuanto narrativa creo que este juego y bashful son los unicos fan games donde uno juego como alguien directamente malo. es un juego corto pero supongo que es mejor eso que se termine alargando innecesariamente y se vuelva aburro o desagradable de jugar. ojala el autor del juego decida en el futuro intentar hacer un fangame mas largo y ver que otras ideas coloca.

I love their names- they're pretty bland as double entendres go, but there's other meanings ontop of it Tristan, who is explicitly the most prone to use violence to feel better, has a surname meaning "little man." Cemal is a name meaning "smart," but his surname is derived from the Turkish word for "pot." He's the one with the most SP, and puts more thought into fighting than the others, aiming for weak spots, but his "higher than the average thug" intellect goes to pot- is wasted- on the crooks he's with. Meanwhile Sonny, who is very evocative of a kid raised in a cult, has the surname "Offman." He acts much like you'd expect the son of these men to act. Milo's is so obvious it barely needs mentioning. He's a dick.
The woman in Milo's final dream. Gotta say, being a transwoman and being open about it in a setting like Olathe takes a serious amount of guts knowing the creeps and perverts in this post-apocalyptic world. Sure, plenty of people are capable of being decent human beings though it seems like she did eventually meet her end by the Lovelies gang at some point. It sounded like Milo was trying to non-consensually use her (dunno if saying the R word will trigger YT's filters or not) and killed her later on after his discovery. Something he didn't really have any business plunging into to begin with. Also if this was a death dream of some kind, is the position she's in in that dream suggesting that she became a heavenly messenger of some kind to tell him that he's going to hell? So much symbolism and hints in just graphics and text alone.

It makes a worrying amount of sense, actually. Hopeful shows them EXTREMELY worked up over getting the girl, to the point of extreme violence in killing those in their way, and seem to not be as enthusiastic with dudes (though still willing to rape them). Getting ready to fuck what one thinks to be a girl only for them to think they’re actually a man would definitely drive a Lovely into a murderous frenzy.
