If we have interest or dreams on what we love to do, we willing to take risk & go for it. We don’t give up until we make it to the end. Doesn’t matter how hard it is, how many times we fall, we keep trying & improve. Same goes with LISA. She did everything at her very best. She knows herself so well. She know her limit. It takes years to be who she is now. Imagine ‘sword’ coming to you at different angle, but it didn’t breakdown your spirit. Yes, you’ll be at your lowest point sometimes, but you’ll rise up again. You are right YG was a detriment to Lisa when they discover her danny told them, out of 4 thousand she was pick up she sang, dance, rap, in 2011 was winning competitions by her self and with grups like wezza cool she was known in Thailand YG kept her 5 years practicing she ace all the tests, YG give her the last spot, dancer and rapper, when YG need it sample the songs only Lisa was able to perform the hard dance and wraps, Lisa was ready at 14 but waited 5 years and months till jen jisoo and rosé to be ready, know 12 years later she is making things happen for her.

@@justhuman7962 true. But at the same time so many korean group members sing songs like this (another language featuring foreigner singers) and people still count it as kpop. Though lisa has changed alot and maybe the idea comes to mind because she is also not korean to begin with!
she has her own label, exactly why she left YG, she doesnt want to do kpop anymore, too many restrictions. Also because she is dating too, she doesnt want to give any stupid explanations to the weird korean public. She literally can do whatever she wants.

People still consider kpop when a pure Korean does this kind of work. It's sad to see how these people don't realize how bad they are, like trying to eliminate Lisa's legacy in Korea just because she's not korean.
I realise how different it is. Being a kpop idol is also a part of her career though.thats why i used the hashtags and compared it to what she had before.
I would suggest you to start with Malamente. LISA did dance cover for this Rosalia’s song in her Lilifilm. That’s how I know about Rosalia. Then slowly you will listen to her music. LISA & Rosalia really giving a great vibe together

It discredits Lisa when people say she was held back. Lisa knew what she was doing when she tried out for the top kpop company YG and when she signed a 7 year contract to become skilled and rich and famous...and then she decided to stay with yg under a new contract for group activities and she was mature enough finally to start her own company and be a CEO of Lloud for her solo career. Lisa is in control of her life and contracts and she has chosen the perfect time to blow up outside Kpop. Trust in Lisa.

@ItsRosieDays I don't think she was naive about what being an idol involved. YG chose a strategy of starving fans...and it worked. Biggest group in the world. The biggest tour, passing One Direction gave Lisa all the training she needed to become ...what I think and probably what she thinks, the top artist in the world, a legend. YG are like parents, the smart ones, Lisa, learn from the good and the bad. She wasn't ready for Rockstar a year ago. Her timing is crisp. She has matured so much, day after day.

If it wasn't for YG's strategies, and they let the members be free with their music and write it themselves and let them be active as much as they wanted, we could've had so many masterpieces by now. With the power and the talent Lisa has she could've handled it all well. I'm talking about the company as my thumbnail says, i don't think she is naive.
Lisa is just putting in so much focus and effort to make all of her solo work stand apart and above. In a way it's too much, which is why she is making everyone else look lazy with a track and video like this. She's spoiling us for everyone else and should probably knock it off, but we know she won't. All those years training to be the best made being the best all she knows how to do.

And now she has stepped away from Kpop which sets her apart completely. I admire her. It's obvious she likes what she does,truly!
