For anyone confused, Blackpink is still a group and still under YG (or at least one of their subsidiaries), they just aren’t partnering with YG for their solo endeavors.
Meanwhile Rosé has dropped even more weight. The other 3 members have had a slight weight increase and relaxed glow about them recently. I hope Rosé is happy too.
For me Rose looks the same as on the tour, when it comes to her they always say the same thing that she looks thinner, wherever she goes the first thing they mention will be her weight, then they mention how visual and beautiful she looks, she better than anyone knows how is her health and her body, sorry, I don't know why you should always question this issue, now they also say that she underwent surgery, that maybe that's the reason, When for me you just change your makeup and maybe stylist (event that went to Seoul looks the same as always), but even if you do it is your choice....

This is the version of Lisa i see on her predebut era. Look healthier and happy. After the debut she always been so skinny. I love to see her back healthier again.
Exactly, I think she did a crash died in order to debut. But after it it must have been hard to gain the wheight back, that's maybe why she claimed not to diet. Her transformation has been made throughout the years. Her figure is nothing new.

Rosé doesn’t worry me very much most of the time. It’s mostly just because I’m about the same size just way less toned. It’s really easy to gain or lose 5 lbs in a week if. If I’m not careful I could easily lose 10 lbs but at that point it is kinda scary. If I do worry it’s more about if she’s allowed enough time to properly rest and eat. Sometimes there’s so much to do that you don’t have time for food. The Born Pink tour is a good (or I guess bad) example of this. Jisoo talked about not being able to eat because she didn’t have time too which made fans very understandably upset. That tour was so poorly managed and set up by the company. I have a similar sentiment towards comeback seasons. I’ve heard a lot of idols get like hours of sleep a night and their. Schedules are totally packed and stresses are high. For me at least stress, depression, and anxiety either make me eat everything or I can’t eat anything at all. It’s the same for a lot of people. It’s not necessarily the same for her but I just have a different experience and outlook on being that size than a lot of people. I remember some people in the comments talking about a very recent surgery as well and those can easily lead to weight loss that would be significant for someone Rosé’s or my size. Part of it is because of the after affects of anesthesia, the medicine isn’t always super effective and you just end up nauseous and prone to vomiting anything you even try to stomach including water. I’ve been there, absolutely awful.
@@Chloe.L-uf5vp Yeah I got some help from a doctor or well my mom did. Turns out some people have to eat food for the anti-nausea meds to do there jobs, it’s a dangerous game to play. I also got meds that help fight anxiety, depression, and they keep my appetite up so while I’m still little I’m not quite at the point of people worrying for me.

Good lord give this false narrative a rest. It’s so tired. Lisa’s weight fluctuates. Look at her in the Lalisa era. Did you even notice her butt falling out of her shorts in the Shutdown video?
@@mattraisbeck3701 Obviously body weight fluctuates, that’s natural. What I’m saying is that every idol deserves to have a proper diet to match the amount of exercise they do on a daily basis. So many companies starve their idols to achieve and maintain a certain look.
@@iSmileyPerson A look....btw....demanded by the fans. Make no mistake about it, the fans are the most to blame for this. It's easy to blame YG for everything you don't like about K-pop (Blinks always do.......ALWAYS) but nobody demands perfection more than the fans themselves. I can't even begin to tell you how many videos i've watched where the wardrobe or the makeup is scrutinized or the idol is fat shamed?
As someone who's been a fan of K-pop for over a decade I can guarantee you and tell you that this all starts with the company though. As much as people consistently like to blame the fans for idols having to keep certain beauty standards the companies were the ones who created the beauty standard in the first place. The companies were the first one to create these beauty standards that's why there are certain things that exist like your head your body should be like 8 of your head stacked against each other and stuff like that those weren't necessarily things before. Like the whole history of K-pop is the idea of an idol that came from Japan and then the Motown training system. But they needed something to make them different from Japanese idols so what did they do they decided to focus on beauty because if you look at Japanese idols they're not focused on perfection. There are a lot of Japanese artists and idols that do not fit beauty standards. There are a whole groups cater towards people who are of a bigger size to literal children to teenagers to average people K-pop want it to be different so they focus on the beauty part of it on top of the theatrical get people who are considered more beautiful than the average Korean person and then make very theatrical almost Bollywood / Hollywood music videos and concepts and that's what would make them stand out compared to their Japanese counterparts. It started with the companies which made this a norm for idols and made fans believe that this is normal and just what they have to do and now it's at the point where there are fans who genuinely still see it that way but they're also are fans who can see why this is so toxic..@@mattraisbeck3701
@@Zhong_Babe Kpop focuses on beauty and sexy because that's what sells. That's what allows so many of their artists to become global ambassador's to all the high fashion houses in Paris and all the luxury jewelry brands in Europe and America. Sex sells in western society. It's not a standard the companies themselves have created. That's where you're wrong, its a standard they've correctly identified as being one in which their prospective customers are willing to spend more of their money. These labels aren't establishing a market, they're reacting to it.
Guys, look at her predebut videos, she was naturally like that. I think she just did a diet before her debut cause she debuted being extremely skinny and underweight. Her transformation has been made year by year since her debut. And frankly, good for her, she must have done crazy diets to debut with this physique. 💀
Noo my mom had the same body type as lisa it's known as ecotomorph if u wanna know more about it . She's not a teen anymore and after a certain age women do gain weight . She had the similar body changes as Lisa and I got the same body type too I hope I will gain weight too T_T .

Anytime I see that an idol gained weight and that they went viral I break out into a cold sweat because only on occasion do they get praise and even then there’s usually some people mixed in hating and insulting them. I am especially worried when it’s about Blackpink or IVE members because the hate they get is crazy. It’s nice when they get praise for something so normal instead of the inverse.
I think i read someone that she doesn't gain weight easily but still, im glad to see she's healthy. Idols should be motivation to be healthy, NOT to have toxic diets and habits like "eat apple, practice seven hours, go to sleep"
Unfortunately Korea is in the chokehold of the thinner is the winner mindset aka they want people to be as thin as they can. I remember seeing that Wonyoung could wrap her entire hand around her ankle and her fingers could touch. Koreans gave her praise, international fans either gave hate or showed concern and shock. It was very polarizing.
I always believe that skinny is not always beautiful. Forcing them to be skinny is so UNHEALTHY. Im glad Lisa always put herself priority. Happiness over being idol
It’s mostly in the legs, as she is still really thin there’s not much of a noticeable difference. It would also be hard to tell in other photos where lighting is different, if they’re on stage, whatever they’re wearing, etc how significant the change is. It’s really not much probably, probably an absolute max of 15 lbs. My body is kinda like hers and Rosés both then and now except they’re both way more toned. I noticed a difference in my appearance after gaining some weight when my legs looked less little in a specific skirt. I remember looking in the mirror one time before that and thinking that the skirt made my legs look too thin and awkward. The easiest way would be to see maybe photos of her in public where the angles, lighting, and clothes are similar. Comparing her to past performance outfits to her current one could also work as well.
Complete strangers do it all the time offline, when others walk by tho 😅 You're right don't get me wrong, but it comes with it unfortunately. Also they overlook it, the skinny = healthy, it's been drummed into many, & you have to really think for yourself (Which you do) but I love this point you made ❤

When you debut and has to practice dancing hours a day + still teen with high metabolism of course she remained skinny, she even said that she never diet or go to gym but dance a lot. Now she has more free time and money + aging that’s why she gained weight
Why everyone hating yg. She looks so pretty under yg, and its kpop obssession of slim body not any particular company ok. Everyone should understand what they are now is because of yg please stop this nonsense all the time 😢😢
YG is what they are because of blackpink .. they are not treated well, they have to do strict diets and co. Also, did u notice that BP has after 7 years only 32 songs, while someone like Taylor swift comes and releases an album with 31 songs just in one day? Yes, it’s because of YG. Also, Rosé was forced to keep her Solo in secret for 2 years and released it in 2021. and since Jennie left YG for her Soloactivities, she released slow motion and will release spot on Thursday.. if she were still under yg, there were only slow motion, and this song was forced to keep a secret too, a long time. So I think they should YG treat like they treated them and leave for their solo activities. I’m glad they did it.

I don’t get it either, they blame yg for everything. No one mentions they were touring for over a year, she’s naturally skinny, she’s only 27 so her metabolism is still good and they eat all the time judging from their blogs. Yg provides a lot of freedom to their artists, but they also have to be fit enough to perform. Suhyun from akmu has gained weight and I don’t see yg saying anything. Also, like she’s still in yg. Like why they always mention they’ve left when they haven’t.
I'm slim exactly like her but I eat lots. I don't doubt she's the same like me. For some it is natural to be this slim. But increasing protein and doing some workouts can help shape your figure more.
Guys be aware tho, just because someone "looks" healthier doesnt always mean they are. A lot of celebs/idols are on certain drugs that causes horomonal changes which causes weight gain such as depressants. Please be supportive of ur idol no matter what body shape they have.
It's funny how people are always blaming YG for this and that.. at least we should be grateful that they created BP or else we won't even know them 🙄Plus why it is YG fault if she was skinny last time while Jisoo always in her healthy weight 🙄
Lmfao this is the "so what your mom's abusive, you should be thankful because she gave you life" excuse. No, absolutely not. I would rather people live happy lives not being forced to do insane diets and hide every aspect their true selves than me getting to listen to some of their music. All of the girls could've made it big without YG, or they could've been actors, journalists, dentists, classical pianists, teachers, I don't care. I'm not thanking YG for sht.
Lisa herself mentioned in bpm roll ,that because of all the packed schedule she can't gain weight. She wanted too but she couldn't,so she told after their world tour she is going to focus on weight gain.
@@reamarple6225It’s just a correction. Hour glass figures are considered the ideal body type but they’re I believe the most rare. It’s a pretty common thing for fans to say an idol has an hour glass shape when they don’t. The most common is inverted triangle which a lot of people seem to think means no curves at all. Another body type that gets mistaken for hour glass is pear. Ryujin and Sullyoon get praised for having hour glass figures but their bodies are more pear shaped. It’s not really important but it’s such a weird thing when people insist that someone has an hour glass figure when they do in fact not have one. Like, y’all, not having an hour glass figure doesn’t mean a person isn’t beautiful. It’s okay if somebody doesn’t have one, including Lisa. She is still so beautiful.
Her pre debut body and her body now is much healthier than her body when she's still in yg because maybe due to their strict company policies to diet and not to gain weight. But happy that Lisa has now regained the weight she lost and also gained muscles, maybe she's hitting gym more often now. Her pre debut body came back. Much healthier and strong too.
i think that (sadly) when an idol has gained "too much weight" they are shamed (Jeongyeon from twice) but when they start off "alarmingly" skinny (Lisa, Yuna from ITZY in that 1 photo, Wonyoung(?)) they are praised for becoming healthier. you also have to remember, its Korea, they chubbier" girls as unhealthy and wtv (this all also might be because of how popular Lisa is.) Hope this helped you 'understand' (im bad at explaining)

She’s looking so happy and healthy. I started to really notice a change when she posted those Crazy Horse pictures. I don’t think her being so thin was necessarily intentional, but it was because of the intense schedule with BP activities.

Tight schedule, dance practices and age are the factors. Now she is mature than before, maybe no crazy schedule like before when they were new…. Hence looking healthy now
They are only under YG as a group now. They didn't resign their solo contacts (meaning whatever solo music or activities they will do now, they will do it on their own, not in YG)
Idk when South Korea will adjust their beauty standards to bring healthy and individually unique but it can’t happen sooner ! I think ppl also need to realize getting older changes body shape for some. Hopefully her change is due to her health improvements and less stress.
hour glass figure means body proportion. means your bust and hips are same dimension and your waist is smaller. hence hour glass figure. you can be super skinny but pear shape like me. 32,26,41. that's pear. If lisa was 32, 24, 34, that's still hour glass.
