Sorry for the unfortunate experience. We tried to make the Bureau guys difficult as each one of them grants a unique drop along with moderately rewarding loot and an achievement. At that point in the game (post-Dinner Scene) HP pools should be pretty easy to whittle down with a good combo. Personally when I was playtesting, I found that Clark and Donovan die pretty quickly, not even getting the chance to attack me in their 2nd "phase". Francis is an optional boss and puts up quite the fight which matches his psychotic appearance. Also was the 4k enemy an over exaggeration or is there an actual enemy with more than 4k health besides Arnold, Shammi and the final boss? I know that some 3rd folder enemies might seemingly have too much health but the infinity jersey makes Alex deal tremendous damage, so it's not as bad as it looks. If there is an actual bug with the HP pools, please let me know so that I can notify the main dev ASAP.
@@boris536 It's just silly every enemy is 2k or 3k there hasnt been a single mod original enemy ive fought that wasn't at least 2500. I mean when you make sotws enemies look silly its absurd, it feels like you people justified having absurd enemies cuz of the teenager crow but really strong enemies only counter being save scumming isn't the best game design. Some of them are so randomly hard too, like the last marauder doing 600 damage to the entire party with a single attack when im using the best defense items. Like he was powerful enough, with his insane speed why'd you have to give him a phase 2 and increased damage, these things aren't fun its just very very tedious because once again the only solace I have is being able to save scum.
@@themonster8887 Sorry about that. From my personal experience enemies with less than 1k HP don't even get to attack me because I inflict some debuff and combo them to death very quickly. Even when I'm on low hp, I just use an item or two to get back on track and then continue as usual. Had a run where I was stacked with all sorts of items, like 8 domestic jerkies or something before 3rd Fold Arnold, also it seems a bit unrealistic for people to die so quickly in a real life scenario (can't speak from personal experience tho haha) but no matter how weak someone is, they shouldn't just straight up die after a single major iris. MI is already extremely powerful as it can 1HKO all weaker franchisers and severely cripple the moderately powerful ones. The mindset here was to give enemies about 1.5k atleast, so the player can't just mow people down with that skill. Also, a tip for Serjio: I struggled with him a lot myself, even in OG SOTWS. Even in the vanilla game his damage output seemed ridiculous and unfair. Turns out you're supposed to disarm him but I didn't think of that. Disarming proved to be extremely useful for both phases, the 2nd phase doesn't change much except a minor stat boost and changed skillset.
@@boris536 I honestly appreciate the response, and I definitely get wanting to add fights that are challenging and memorable, but it started coming off a little excessive to me comparing it with what was already in SOTWS or especially base Pointless. Playing through again trying to wipe all of Downtown I'm definitely feeling it more than first run as I'm burning so many healing items when there's so many enemies who clobber me for 500 if I don't manage to stun/scare/fall them, who have health in the 1000s. I think there's a lot of good stuff added here absolutely and the overhaul of Third Fold from what I've played of it is really well done and the Infinity Mob fight after Arnold was actually perfect, I just feel there's a bit of scale creep going on where it starts undermining fights like Floyd or Anaconda when random Franchisers eat more hits and hit way harder than them. Sidenote I like the new equipment options a lot but, it looks like Salt Crab no longer starts with his Bath Robe on and I can't find it in my inventory at all, which means he just can't regain SP unless I go buy an alternate one. Was not fun recruiting him, going to Anaconda, then seeing him not getting any SP back. Don't know if this is a bug or if it's been patched out already but wanted to bring it up either way.
