@@IMaKing80 Wilder has gassed before, but I will say Fury had a lot to do with Wilder gassing. The body shots, the grappling in the clinch vs a much heavier, stronger guy, Fury making Wilder miss (nothing more tiring than missing shots)... All that takes a heavy toll. That said, I disagree the reason Wilder lost was "just" because he ran out of gas. Wilder was technically inferior from the get-go, and was missing repeatedly and being caught and out-manoeuvred constantly. Wilder could've been the fittest HW on the planet and would still lose to Fury. He's just not good enough technically.

Remember, he spent the second fight with the look of fear over his face throughout...he asked jay deas if he could quit (take note of deas when the towel was thrown in). He went back into this fight knowing not only does Fury have his number but that he had dug himself in a hole as there was no way a towel was going to save him now. It was only because Fury wasn't great on the night it lasted so long before the knockout eventually came. Wilder showed great heart. Now if Fury was healthy, had a good camp, and had functioning elbows, it wouldn't have worked. But until Wilder tired, it did. Wilder was able to fight his own fight for 4-5 rounds. Wilder has a lot to learn from this. Wilder needs to cut some of that weight off, work on his stamina and work on defense and head movement. Finally he needs to listen to his coaches when he's boxing. He wasn't listening to his coaches during the fight, while Fury was. I don't want to see Wilder retire yet. I want him to box AJ next. Everyone knows he's going to lose to Usyk and it will be Usyk vs Fury for the world title in the main event, but I would love to see Wilder vs Joshua to be the second to last match on the card.

Compare this corner advice to "BRILLIANT JAB AJ!!!" when he's getting battered. 😂 I don't like Wilder but he has more heart and balls than Joshua that's for sure. Joshua was terrified of a blob and and a blown up cruiserweight with no power as Matchroom called Usyk.
@1man1bike1road
@1man1bike1road 2 года назад
but Usyk is a throwback champ he can do it all and he does have power and more stamina than possibly any heavyweight ever his workrate and speed and skill is up with the best that said AJ was hyped way above his ability

I hate the term "blown up cruiserweight". . Reality is 90% of cruisers are actually slimmed down heavyweights, walking around at well over 200lb between fights.
@TheStraightestWhitest
@TheStraightestWhitest 2 года назад
Usyk was 221lbs. That's more than many guys like Frazier, Ali and Tyson weighed. He's also taller than any of them were. A 20lbs weight advantage and 3 inches of height advantage was never going to save Joshua from a boxing mastermind like Usyk.
