Way back in 1977, I did something stupid and my parents hid a bunch of my Christmas gifts. We moved on and forgot about them. In 2015, our parents sold their house and while clearing out the attic, we found the old wrapped gifts. All original Star Wars figures, an X-Wing and a Millennium Falcon. All in unopened boxes. I sold them as a set to a collector and added it to my daughters college fund.

Honestly this kid is fine, she wasn't swearing, hitting her dad or breaking stuff. She was angry and was just expressing the anger and even when shouting she was still in control of herself and would stop if things got too out of hand.

When my dad did this to me I was hysterical and he told me “Deal with it” so the next day I tore the paper off all the canned food and he’s like “WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?” I gave him a sinister smile and said word for word “Deal with it!” He never did anything like that again

Dude, you have WAY bigger problems on your hands than them not listening to you. If my kids get to the point in a couple of years where they think they can talk to me like that, real presents are going in or returned and that’s where it starts. Very curious how parent teacher conferences go.

Why all this psychological pressure? They will not learn or change this way, they just store traumas. If you really Love them, offer to them Smiles not tears. If someone else ever do what you do, you would kill him. Learn to accept their attitude and try to teach them without pain. Try to create nice moments to them as soon as nice moments exist for all humanity. Soon our World will not be the same and nothing will return our comfortable daily reality back! Do not waste any more nice moments! Be patient! Learn your lessons as you ask them to learn theirs. Do not ask them to think like we do! Save their World! Become like them for a while! And Love them, this is all they need and works!

Wealthy people... It always amazes me how good their houses are! Like all my house is plain walls with 1 or 2 sofas and basic living things like a fridge and a cooker that aren't special and bland af. Even my own friend's houses look fucking amazing compared to mine! Yet I'm still grateful for it's a roof over my head. Fingers crossed I get a good job when I'm older and buy my family a better house I guess :P
