It's clear that many of us believe that SCOTUS has not and will not in this case act in good faith. Good faith would be Clarence Thomas recusing himself because his wife was engaged in the Jan 6 insurrection. Good faith would be Thomas recusing himself from cases that involve 'good friends' who have contributed to his serendipitous vacations. And that goes for Alito too. Roberts runs a corrupt court and that's a far cry from good faith.

When Sauer speaks to Grant's "knowledge" and likely other president's "knowledge," his determinative strength for knowledge afforded former presidents didn't include modern and contemporary methods, which include vast technological advances not afforded president's of the past or Bejamin Franklin. The "framers" likely could NOT have imagined our methods for securing very accurate measurements nor a computerized system of checking and documenting comparative data collection systems.
